Have to agree with VR as I too think Ryle will get their points, but the Ryle "D" will have to come up big for Ryle to win. Ryle hold HHS to 24 or under and Ryle wins, Ryle gives up more than 24 and HHS win.

I don't think Highlands people quite realize that they faced a good defense last week. I wouldn't be surprised if they throw a much bigger number up this week.

I agree. I think the coaches will have a lot to say about the sloppiness of their first game. The players should be fired up and looking to make a statement.

 

Both teams played sloppy the first game and both teams will be out to make statements. Both teams are disciplined, both teams work hard year round, both teams are fast and both teams bring it every play. Both teams have D-1 players (although Highlands probably has 15 D-1 players ). Both teams have good quarterbacks that pass and run well. Both teams have decent kickers. Both teams have speedy return men. Both teams want to win badly. Both teams hit hard. Both teams are not intimidated by anyone.

 

These are two very good teams and the game could go either way. There is not just one team that will be fired up for 48 minutes and one team looking to make a statement.

I like the Birds in this one. Taking something from last weeks game, I think it will be close. Couple of things. Weinel(sp) for HHS needs to keep kicking to the endzone or that weakness I see in the coverage team will be exposed. And I would like to see HHS kick the extra points instead of going for two. I know they went for two because of penalties, but IMO, you still kick it in those situations of last week.

Uh, did anyone say that? I'm sure the Raiders will be out to get the upset. However, when the Birds come back from a shaky game, historically it's bad news for the opposition. I honestly don't look for this game to be extremely close.

This game reminds me of a really good Boone Co team trying to run on Highlands. If Ryle can mix in the pass effectively they have an outside shot but I believe Highlands wins the game by 10-14 points.

You are sooo wrong, we knew going into the game that Manual has a good defense. I was mostly surprised by the offense...the QB added a wrinkle to the game that surprised most of us.

What I'm trying to tell you is that your offense really doesn't have problems.

Ryle and their running game is hard take for 4 quarters , but I believe the Birds walk out with the win in a close game.
