July 26, 200917 yr I know there are alot guys with inside info on the Reds on this site. Can someone please explain the big red/white necklace rope around Phillips neck? No wonder he can't hustle because it is weighing him down. I am surprised the Reds allow this. Necklaces are fine but they should be shorter and always tucked under the shirt. Somebody help me out. I am pretty sure what he is wearing is one of those Phiten Necklaces. http://www.phitenusa.com/default.aspx You see many of them in single color and you see some wearing different colors, like Josh Beckett who wears a camo colored one. They are actually very light.

July 26, 200917 yr I am pretty sure what he is wearing is one of those Phiten Necklaces. What is the purpose or the cause?
July 26, 200917 yr Let's put the blame for this farce squarely where it belongs. Front office. Ownership and all of the GMss, plural, blow. Jockety isn't any better than the incompetence he has followed. And the beat goes on in Cincinnati.
July 26, 200917 yr The Reds may never contend in the Central. The Cubs and Cards are bigger market teams, Houston when it comes down to it will spend when they want too, Milwaukee has the best farm system in the division. At least the Pirates still suck.
July 26, 200917 yr I have to think that 40 HRs and 100 RBI would have made this a much better year for the Reds. Losing Dunn in the lineup has really hurt this team.

July 26, 200917 yr I don't think so. The Red's winning% is no worse without Dunn. What was AZ % with him? He cerainly didn't put them over the top last season. What were his #s down the stretch the one season the Reds were in contention with him? Yeah he's got great #s this season. But once again he is putting them up with a losing team with no pressure to win ball games. I am not sold on Dunn till I see him doing it on a contender. Which we he hasn't in his entire career. So you're not sold on every good player on a bad team? Does that theory also extend to Joey Votto? They'd be no better off with Dunn. AZ got him as a hired gun last season to push them into the playoffs. How'd that workout? Dunn collapsed in the stretch run in 06 when the Reds were pusing for a playoff spot. And yeah they are all losers. Until you win you're a loser. Pretty simple stuff..Dunn was pretty productive in his time with Arizona ... so why is it his fault that they didn't get into the playoffs? Atlanta traded for Mark Teixeira in 2007 to try to get into the playoffs, and they fell short, too. Does he get blamed for that?
July 26, 200917 yr The Reds need guys that can at least hit their weight. 2 hits today is just terrible.
