That roster looks like a solid team to me. Good size. Another Faulkner. Timmy Knipp is a stud. Young enough to be solid next season then make another run in two years. In some ways it may be more fun to see this group have success than what has happened the last three years.

Being a true fan of all sports & a reader of all the forums, I will say Wireman you are the best.

Could have been more solid if the coach had spent more time developing them this year instead of beating inferior opponents by 40 points.

Practicing every day against the current starting five should have helped them more than anything else. But I agree, game experience would have been nice.

1st off, I don't expect Timmy Knipp to go anywhere. He is already becoming a big-time prospect, and really with all the attention Elliott has recieved lately, he get enough D-1 looks.

 

Elliott will fall off, but really IMO, Knipp will determine how fall they fall in the 16th. If he really comes into his own, and becomes they type of player I think he can be they will be somewhere in the top 7 or 8.

 

The next season sure will be different in Sandy Hook. I know that I haven't seen eye to eye with many EC fans over this last year, but the seniors from this season and the rest of the boys played their hearts out. While I cannot say that I was rooting for EC to win the State, I will say that I did feel bad for the boys after the game. Anything that I have said this past season was not a slap in the face to the EC boys as I have a lot of respect for the players, I just think that we as fans seem to go over board a little bit.

There will definately be a drop off next year but if Timmy stays and Craig Faulkner develops into a legit point guard we could see this team right back in Rupp next year! Ison needs to drop 15 pounds and work on being more mobile around the goal with the Griffith kid picking up some slack. The cupboard is not bare but some work has to be done!

Elliott county had a great run, but no way that they return to the Sweet 16 next year. There will be 2 better teams in their District, moreless the Region. Congrats to Elliott on a good run.:thumb:

The buzz around the state tourney was Timmy Knipp will take Phares spot at Scott County next year.

As a college scout, I was greatly impressed with Timmy Knipps upside. The kid has as much potential to be what he wants to be, although he lacks enthusiasm and team spirit from my opinion. I was sitting with 5 other scouts and his lack of enthusiasm after he fouled out yesterday(which was a bad call) and his lack of huddling up and supporting his teammates did not sit well with any of us.
