If you have a good team naturally people will want to come there. Elliott is an example. The Knipps moved to EC when Chris was an 8th grader in middle school to play with the Faulkners and Ferguson. It is just natural. This is a basketball state. People take it seriously. I think it makes for more competetive basketball.

For the most part they were. Knipps came when Chris was in middle school though and Timmy was in 5th grade. They had a lot of years in the Elliott system though.

As far as I know the Knipps hadn't played AAU with EC until they went there. Maybe I'm wrong.

Chris and Timmy have lived in Elliott Co. their whole lives. Chris was a very good football player and went to West Carter up until 7th grade because Elliott Co has no football team. Timmy was a 5th grader when they decided to switch schools.

 

Now back to the topic. At no worse I think Elliott is the 3rd best team in the region next year. I still say about the top 5 or 6 teams are very, very close and it will be wide open. Here is how I would rate the preseason top 5 next year.

 

1. Rose Hill

2. East Carter

3. Elliott Co.

4. Ashland

5. Fairview

That is false. They still live in Carter County unless something has changed in the last year or two. Rattlesnake Ridge is close to the Grayson Lake/Elliott County line, but is still Carter County. It is as close for them to go to either West, East or Elliott.

What year did EC hold the 4 seniors back?

There are alot of people that are talking on here that have no knowledge of anything involving Timmy Knipp and his family. This thread was supposed to be a prediction of where they will finish next season in the 16th Region, but somehow it has spun into a Timmy Knipp thread.

 

I expect the Lions to have a decent season and finish a few games above .500. I think they will make it to Johnson Arena and I think Timmy Knipp will be one of the best players in the 16th Region.

You did not know how it works now this is how I heard it down at the tournament. If you are a footballer and don't go to Highlands you go across the river to the football state. If you live in OH and are a good basketball player you come over during middle school and come to KY a basketball state.

 

 

This makes perfect sense. It looks enough kids stayed in NKY considering there were 3 other NKY teams in state football finals besides Highlands. Have you seen Greater Cincinnati basketball? Princeton is currently top 20 in the nation and the top 10 of Cincinnati would all compete for the state title in KY. Whoever told you this was probably all jacked up on Mountain Dew.
