March 7, 200917 yr If Kentucky does go to the NIT, how about having a first round game in Memorial Coliseum. Bring back the times when UK tradition was untarnished. A packed house at Memorial Coliseum sure would be a different atmosphere than a half filled Rupp Arena.

A packed house at Memorial Coliseum sure would be a different atmosphere than a half filled Rupp Arena. Might not even be a bad place to bring a few recruits into as well, just a thought. A lot of tradition there. I remember practicing there before one of the Sweet 16 games in high school. The atmosphere is tops to none.
March 7, 200917 yr What's the seating capacity at Memorial? A little under 10,000 since the basketball offices renovation.

March 8, 200917 yr This team is hard to watch, like Labs stated, they have very little room for error. Since Patterson went out with the ankle they have stunk. As much as I hate to see them miss the NCAA's, watching them lose as a 12 seed will do nothing for me. With that being said, I'm not sold on any SEC team, I still think they could make a run in the tournament but wouldn't be on it happening. UGA did win in last season, and they are better than the '08 Dogs.
March 8, 200917 yr One play that really sticks out to me is the turnover by Galloway. First the ball hits the ref, then Hodge, then it appears to be heading out of bounds and strangely it looks like a PGA shot with the backspin, it was a very strange bounce.

In Georgia's defense, they were playing in Atlanta, or well, somewhere close to there because of the storm that occured which played to their advantage. You are definitely right though, UK could come out and win the tournament. It would take nothin less than a miracle for it to happen. Right now if they make it I like UK in playing LSU in the 2nd round better than Auburn. Auburn is playing the best ball in the conference right now! :thumb:
March 8, 200917 yr Was it not painfully obvious today to anyone that w/ the exception of Patterson and Meeks nobody on the team are good enough players to win games in a major conference? I mean Miller will be good in a few year but he isn't a game changer. For all of the people calling for Galloway to play more minutes he was awful today. Harris was good, but he is not the type of player that other teams even guard. They are really not talented.

If Harris can play under control for 40 minutes (I know its a big if) and knock give them 10 points or whatever he got today every game it is atleast a 3rd play to keep an eye on. With that being said, what are the odds that will actually happen? :idunno:
March 8, 200917 yr Meeks needs 3 points against Alabama to pass Mashburn for the 2nd highest single season in total points. About the only thing positive all year.
March 8, 200917 yr And after Meeks hit a 3-pointer early in the second half, he felt the brunt of Billy Gillispie’s wrath on the sidelines. “Meeks and I were standing there after the timeout and he said his coach told him not to shoot anymore,” Shipman said. http://www.gatorsports.com/article/20090307/COLUMNISTS/903070933/1044?Title=Defensive-effort-toughness-carry-UF-past-Cats
