It's kinda hard for 5 guys to drive against 8.

I always liked "an excuse is a poor patch on the garment of failure."

Wow. The 9th region just got more interesting.

Assuming Pittman is healthy Holmes is still the prohibitive favorite. Last night simply showed its simply not a done deal.

Good game plan by the coach of Boone, good game by the players who executed it, Which brings me to the question where are the Boone coach bashers now?

Whoever said Brown played a smart game earlier in the thread is dead on. He is a great "glue guy."

First off let me give a major congrats to Boone players and coaches job well done. I wouldn't call this an upset. Boone has some players and when McFarland is playing well they can compete, as it showed last night. I've been saying since early in the season Holmes would not go undefeated in the 9th. The 9th is the 3rd best region in the state [imo]. As for the Holmes haters, it's your time to shine [enjoy]. The dogs will bounce back, I'm pretty sure if you told Henley in the preseason that his team at this point would only have two losses [after losing Arrez]. I'm sure he would take that. Humility brings fourth humbleness, and thats exactly what this team needed. This loss came at a perfect time. Henley will have all ears this week in practice and Holmes will respond. To call Holmes over-rated is just flat out silly, and it shows a lot of people's hate torge the program. I read through all the pages on this thread and it was kind of crazy to see so many grown up's root for kids to fail. As for the Arnold comment, as I said before it's real easy to call a 16 year old kid out in a public forum. Smoke if you felt that strongly about Arnold being disrespectful, his father was at the game you should have took it up with him. When you speak ill of a kid it should be done with his parents. I'm a relative of Arnold's and I don't take kind to the words you speak of him. With that said I will close and just say GO BULLDOGS.

One thing I don't understand is why Holmes allows teams to play so slow against them. Maybe some of the Holmes fans can explain this. They have the athletes to really get after people and press and do some things. I thought they even played way too slow last year in the state championship game vs. Mason Co.

Also, I sure hope Pittman isn't hurt seriously. Hes having an excellent season and itd be a shame for it to either be cut short or for him to even miss 2 or 3 weeks.

I still believe that Holmes will work on some type of press and zone defense in the weeks leading up to the tourney. They just aren't going to show anything in advance so that teams can prepare for it.

Eta, you have been proven wrong on every argument you start.

Oh, you don't know the bag of worms you just opened on yourself.

Nice story in the paper for Boone fans.http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/AB/20090211/SPT0302/902110410/

Why? To start a fight?....I'll pass....that is what this site is for; to state our opinions. I'm not saying the kid has no character. I'm saying he needs to play the game with some respect. Shoving kids and losing your temper and then talking trash when you have not proven you can back it up are clear signs of immaturity. All I'm saying is that it would be nice if he could once not get a call to go his way and jog down to the other end without a peep.

Boone County is not my team, but I like to follow them because I have been impressed with them. I have had one criticism about Boone Co that I quess they proved me wrong, or maybe they can't, but you dont have to be able to shoot from the outside to win. Dont know how may they attempted? but they made no 3 point shoots. Well done!

Anyone know the attendance at the game? The gym seemed pretty packed. Also, I heard the game was being broadcast on TV, anyone know if it will be replayed and if so, where and when?
