OK. Double digit win for Holmes. This is part of the scenario I had laid out for my Birds to beat Holmes. Catch them in the semis with Holmes looking towards Boone in the finals. Kind of grasping at straws here, but that's what it will take for anyone to beat the Dawgs in the regional.

I believe the unsung hero for Boone County has to be Andrew Brown. He did a great job on both ends of the floor. He is a kid that doesn't get much attention but does a lot of the dirty work for this team.

Holmes was 4/13 from the line.

See I don't think Holmes beats Highlands OR Boone by double digits. They may win, but I think it will be a 9 point game or less.

Holmes' D was strong. Holmes problem was that Boone's D was very strong as well and they didn't handle it very well. No real penetration from the PG and when he did the pass was either bad or dropped. The only successful offensive player was Pittman in the first half.

 

Boone's D won this game.

I thought the officiating was horrible.

I thought they let both teams play physical defensively. I don't remember any obviously bad calls.

Good win for the Rebels, lets hope they don't have a major meltdown in the 33rd this year and get Holmes again in the region. Anyway you look at it the regional will be fun to watch this year.

I hope we can get a packed house for the semis and finals. Will be nice to not have to go throught the empty the gym ritual for the semis.
