Super Bowl Sunday?...or Saturday?

You know I was thinking wouldn't it be smarter to play the Super Bowl on Saturday rather than Sunday? I know tradition dictates that it be on Sunday but don't you just hate having to go to work on Monday after the Super Bowl. It is kind of a let down for me, after all the eating and making merry. I always hold back just a little considering I have to work on Monday.

 

I think it would be much more fun everyone if it was on Saturday.

The older I get the more I wish it were held on Saturday. 630pm on Sunday night is way to late to start the party since most work on Monday.

I've always said it should be played on a Saturday. If they can play playoff games on Saturdays, then they can play the Super Bowl on Saturday. Heck, they'd probably make more money too.

Saturday for sure. And no, I won't get up and go to church. I can wait for the 7:00pm mass Sunday night at St. Joseph in Cold Spring.

There is more oppurtunitty for viewers on a Sunday and the NFL won't break the Sunday tradition.

On Sunday evenings, very few people are at work. Malls close around 6pm and very few businesses are open.

True, but there is a difference between opportunity and fun.:sssh:

 

In addition, the opportunity for bars and restaurants across the country would change for the better. We always stay home and watch the game on Sunday. However, if it was on Saturday night, we would most likely meet friends out at the local pub to watch it. I cant imagine we are alone in doing that.
