I agree with all but West Carter, you HAVE to say when you hear anything about West Carter and basketball you think none other than Hop Brown. I do know he was the girls coach, but he was the face of basketball there.

When I hear Boone County, I think Shaun Alexander. By what I have read and seen he is a great role model.

I agree totally the only reason I did not put him was becasue this is a Boys board.

Pretty good picks Mustang. When I think of those schools I highlighted those are exactly who I think of first.

I might add NewCath to the list. Any Pangallo. :D

Don't know how I left off NCC. My choice there would be Ron Dawn or maybe even Carl Foster.

Derek may be the best athlete to ever come out of HHS but if you would have watched Scott Draud play the game you would change your pick. In fact, Jamie Walz probably deserves it more than anyone as she has her shoes, jersey, etc in the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass.

I agree with Scott and Jaime as well I just saw Derek play more and have never seen anyone play like him that's all.

On a serious note, yes I would agree with those two choices. Ron was a great player back in the 70's and had a great tenure as Boys coach. I heard Carl Foster was one of the best atheletes to ever come out of NCC but I am way too young to remember. LOL

For Warren Central I'd say Tim Riley is the face of the program, a name that has become synonymous with the school and is well respected across the state. As for a player, I'd say Jeremy Anderson, leading scorer all-time for the Dragons and played in 5 Sweet 16s.

Simon Kenton - Troy Mckinley

This is who I thought of as well.

Holmes:

Coach: Reynolds Flynn/Dave Henley

Player: Doug Schloemer (Only player to ever win Mr. Basketball at Holmes..has jersey hanging in the fieldhouse)

For me it's John Wimzie. He is still there after all these years.

You left off Holy Cross too.

Ron Dawn is who I think of from NCC as well.:thumb:

Really??? That is pretty cool. Is she in there for her contributions to basketball as a high school player, college player, or both?
