December 16, 200817 yr We have a little over a inch of snow here in Winchester. Ice is underneath. Roads are covered and very slick. No school in Clark and Fayette Co's today...and both schools hardly never miss.
December 16, 200817 yr Went to get milk yesterday afternoon because we actually NEEDED milk. Krogers in Ft. Mitchell was packed. I grew up here and I can only remember a few rare occasions where we were actually "snowed in." It is amazing to me how the power of the press (weathermen) can create such hysteria. Nothing here this morning. No big surprise.
December 16, 200817 yr One of my neighbors usually heads off to work at around 4 a.m., but not this morning, as the driveway (at least the part he and I share), now with a few inches of snow over top of ice has been undisturbed. I'm going to have to go out and test it here in a few.
December 16, 200817 yr About an inch of snow with ice under and over that. School called off all around here (nothing unusual). I was just watching the snow/sleet mixture coming down as I write this. My husband (one of those that just HAS to get out and check things out) was out this morning and he told said it's not good out there. Everyone stay safe today. If you don't HAVE to get out . . . December 16, 200817 yr Great, I'm gonna likely die trying to get to the Library tonight to study for my exams. All 3 are tomorrow. You didnt have to take 3 finals in one day when I was in college. They had to reschedule one. Is it not that way anymore? Studying for 2 would be hard enough!
December 16, 200817 yr Pretty icy in Murray this morning. It sleeted for hours last night. It took me a couple extra minutes to get in to work this morning. I have to go pick up the wife here in a few minutes...
December 16, 200817 yr I had about 2 1/2 - 3 inches of snow with a layer of ice underneath where I live in Lexington. Tates Creek road was awful on the way to campus this morning with ice and slush in the amount of 1-2 inches covering the entire roadway. The only roads that looked as if they got any attention at all were New Circle, Man-O-War, and then the major spokes leading away from downtown. Took me probably 20-25 minutes to get to campus this morning where as it usually takes no more than 10. I think UK should have been on a delay much like EKU this morning, but the powers that be did not concur.
December 16, 200817 yr Haven't been out myself, but my room mate says the main roads in Louisville are fine for the most part. Neighborhood streets are still covered though.
