Garrard vs. Lincoln. No matter what the records or the location of the game the fans will always pack the stands for this one. Needless to say they become hostile as well. Always an exciting matchup.

What about Dayton/Bellevue in NKY?

Amazing rivalry, both gyms are usually packed for this game (boys and girls), just a great atmosphere.

Magoffin County - Paintsville

Mason County versus Lex Catholic. Some epic battles over the last few years.

Mercer Co. vs Harrodsburg

Intense!

The biggest thing that I had against the merger was the loss of this rivalry. They would play at least twice a year and sometimes 3 to 4 times with the gym being packed for every game.

I hated to see this one go.

Garrard County vs. Mercer County was a really good rivalry for a long time. Both teams were always similar, very competitive, and it seemed like the players/students/fans just hated each other! It has cooled a bit, however, since Garrard left the 46th District.

The Garrard/Harrodsburg rivalry was always more civil than that with Mercer. It seemed like Garrard respected Harrodsburg, something they didn't really do with Mercer. It might have had something to do with the fact that Harrodsburg led the all-time series 68-24 when the school closed!:sssh:

I'm not sure about hostile. I think too many people in Lincoln and Garrard are related, married:sssh:, golfing buddies or co-workers to really get too much hatred going. The longer the two play in the same district, however, I think the rivalry will grow. Garrard probably needs to beat the Pats a few times (seven straight losses) before Lincoln looks at the Lions as much of a rival.

If you ask the Lincoln County folks who they absolutely hate, they'll tell you Boyle County every time.

City Championship Holmes vs. HC even though Holmes has owned the series as of late, and also HC vs CCH brings alot of fans and always packs the Finn with Colonel Crazies and Finn Fanatics.

Well it really depends on what time of the year it's played. Post-season Clark vs Mason. Anytime, any place, any sport, Clark vs Montgomery. Some of the GRC vs Mason games have been classics. And if you add in the importance of them and some of the great players(Lofton, Grutza, Litzinger, Miller, Knowles,Jones) it really makes this a special rivalry. If you play in the 10th you know that eventually your trip to Rupp is gonna go through Clark, Mason, or if your lucky both.

But seriously the Clark/Montgomery rivalry, well we just don't like each other at all. Think Duke/NC, Yankees/Redsox, UK/Lou its that serious.

Out of the 12th...Danville vs. Boyle

What is the all-time record between Mercer and Garrard? I would imagine that Mercer would have a lead in this as well.

Conner vs. Boone is always a good one to watch with a great atmostphere. They play tomorrow night at Boone.

GRC vs Montgomery also play tomorrow night it should be a packed event and one heck of a game!
