Actually I just watched highlights of the game, and with 1:05 left Zollo hit a put back to put GRC up 7.

I don't know about 3 points but it was a close game until the final minutes. GRC by no means dominated that game. But there was a obvious reason why. I also think that they underestimated Scott a little bit.

I really hope the boys fight as hard this weekend as the ladies have tonight. I'm proud of them no matter what the result is.

Brossart is a tough out every year because of their style of play. I feel that Mason wins this game. Russ Middleton will be the difference in the game because he can create for himself as well as kick it out to the shooters and he finishes very well in the paint.

Thank you. You beat me to that post. I couldn't understand how sprained ankles could heal when you're playing on them. Franklin is a very good team. Don't know about them winning their region because it is so tough in the 11th. But I wouldnt want tho play them in the Region tourney if I were SC or Station. If they defend like tonight they can compete with anyone. Defense wins championships.

He was just making a point that GRC guards are quick and are tough defenders. No need for the sarcasm. Just feel good that FC will be able to play GRC with out Rogers and Purvis. Better win this one. It might be 3 years before they get another shot.

They tried to run up the score in the last 1:30. Didn't say it worked.

I'm not taking sides, but they beat Mason by 15. Honestly as a neutral fan in this one I think both teams are pretty much equal. The one difference I believe is Middleton. I don't think that Scott has that one guy that can get them a bucket when they need it. Oh and just to refresh everybody's memory GRC had a double double in street clothes against both Mason and Scott(the second time) and still pulled out wins. And Zollo was sick against Mason. Thats pretty scary. I love the way Mason fought until the buzzer against Elliot tonight. I thought it was a little disrespectful of Elliot to keep running up and down the court to run up the score. I have a feeling that was a little revenge for the loss Mason gave em last year. The Royals still represented the 10th very well.

If you put it that way when is Elliot going to get theirs. Your statement cancels out their win against Mason. If Mason isn't legit then neither is Elliot's win against them.

Can we all now agree that at the very least Elliot County is legit??? I do not believe Mason played their best basketball game, but the Lions were part of the reason why. Just wasn't the same Royals squad the was on the court in Winchester Friday night.

Not really outside of Middleton but they do a great job of moving the ball and finding the open shooter.

It looked like Mason relaxed in their half-court D when they got up a couple baskets. They need to get that same aggression in the half-court that they had at the start of the game.

I wasn't. I did expect Mason to make a run like they did and I also expected GRC to answer. It was like a heavyweight fight.

Just watched the play at the end of the game. He was definitely fouled. I personally think it was in the act. But you could argue that it was on the floor. But it was a foul. He was bumped off his line by the defender. It was an exciting game to watch. Not a very well played game by the Cardinals. Offensively they just didn't have a good flow. Vinny being sick may have played apart in that as his shot was off tonight. And on the defensive side of the ball way too many open jump shots. There were a couple of occasions where nobody was even in the area of the shooter. But the main thing is they came away with a win. But as I say every year, the regular season game is nice to win, but the one in March is the one that matters. Man if this team was healthy!!

Like I said what have they done?? Yeah Clark lost to Scott Co. by 20. With their two best players at less then 100%. They have also beat two top 25 teams. Mason has not. Their losses came to two top 25 teams and Madison Central(without Stenzel) who has lost only three games and beat Jeffersontown the #2 team in the rankings. It just seems that the arguments for Mason all include losses.

Both. But more of the latter. He is playing with more confidence and he is also being more aggressive on the offensive end.
