Hazard and Perry Central are/were so intense that the Hazard School Board has elected to NEVER play a Perry County school during the regular season. Only during tournaments will they play.

You filled a middle school gym! GRC vs Montgomery County fills both GRC and MCHS's gym everytime we play! twice last year MCHS was at capacity once for regular season and once for district championship! This by far is one of the most fan supportive rivalries!

The middle school gym is bigger than the high school's main gym, is probably the third largest in NKY behind Holmes and Ryle, regularly hosts the district tourneys. etc.--But I'm sure you knew that??

Your right I got away from the thread but I still have to say GRC vs Montgomery is a larger rivalry! Just because of the pure hatred between the two teams and the two communities!

While I played it was always Boone vs. Conner for me.

 

Is Dixie vs. Cov Cath not really a rival much anymore?

Wayne vs. McCreary in the 12th is the most bitter rivalry there is in that region. The two schools absolutely hate eachother and the fans always are in a ruckus everytime these two teams meet up.
