  1. Yeah, but instead of having another good team in the state tournament from the old 11th, you put Scott Co. in there with them and take one of those teams out who deserves to be in the Sweet 16 and replace them with a mediocre 8th Region team. Now I understand some years there are exceptions like this year's Anderson Co. team and the Shelby Co. team that had a nice run a few years ago. By the way, ColonelMike, I bet you were really happy to see them go. Could've been a lot worse in '07.
  2. I don't know about you, but I would want my players dunking as much as possible. And in the history of basketball and the slam dunk, I would say if you saw every dunk ever, then less than 0.5% of the players were injured in the action.
  3. I'm sure theres a way you could do this with a team like Burgin every year.
  4. Before Scott County lost that championship game to Ballard they were ranked #4 in the USA Today Super 25. There were great players on both teams too. Ballard had Bender and Chiles and Scott Co. had Rick Jones and Scott Hundley. I'm not sure what happened to Bender, but those other three players signed to play in the SEC.
  5. Your right about the two horse race. I remember how great it was when I saw 11th and 7th on different sides of the bracket, knowing for sure the two best teams would be playing for the title in '07.
  6. They had 2 points at the end of the 1st quarter and Chad Jackson threw down a nasty dunk that I think kind of stunned them for the rest of the game.
  7. 1.Paducah Tilghman 2.Christian Co. 3.Owensboro 4.Warren Central 5.Adair Co. 6.PRP 7.J'Town 8.Anderson Co. 9.Holmes 10.GRC 11.Scott Co. 12.Lincoln Co. 13.South Laurel 14.Hazard 15.Shelby Valley 16.Elliott Co. 1st TB-7th 2nd TB-16th
  8. I'm not trying to argue, just curious. Didn't that WC team have 10+ losses that season ?
  9. How do you find these ratings, id really love to look at them.
  10. I've never been to Holmes home gym but it does seem like when I've been to the state tournament and watched them play they really don't have many fans there. Surprising considering the teams they have had the last two years and this year as well.
  11. I know it's last ten years, but could we maybe make an 11th year exception to '98 Scott Co. ?
  12. Last I heard Bud was close to enrolling at Cincinnati St.
  13. Did you not read the part about them beating Kentucky's best player and the #3 pick in the draft last year, I would say there a little more accomplished then those teams you mentioned. Maceky was also the #35 player in the junior class that year. Also, Ballard's only state loss was to Scott County that year by 22, and the state championship game as well. But the thing that makes people around here the most proud about that team ... all the flack that Scott Co. catches over transfers this year, that team was all Scott Co. And their only other loss that year besides the other Huntington game was to A.J. Stewart and Arlington Country Day from Jacksonville down in Myrtle Beach.
  14. Wow, they give Elliot the nod after one good week when teams like Scott Co., Holmes, and the big 3 from the 7th region have been doing it all year.
  15. I know Scott County had a 51 or 52 game streak snapped by Bryan Station last year.
  16. True, but it is hard to win games when you have certain pieces out of your line-up. Manning is the #2 ballhandler on their press break and Aaron Ford is probably the second best ballhandler on the team. Then that leaves Jackson as the only one left and he was in foul trouble all night. All the odds were against them and they still won this game. IMO, the biggest win of the year for the Cards.
  17. Your right, Manning always seems to be on the other teams primary ball handler.
  18. Eastern has a real strong case for number 1, I mean, they only have one loss this year. My top 3 1.Eastern 2.Scott Co. 3.Holmes As of 2/12*
