  1. Yeah, beause all the players parents work there. I'm sorry man but you have no idea about what your talking about.
  2. Please send me a PM with your comment about that, I sure would love to hear it. By the way, Holmes PG, #21 I think, the shooter. Where did he play last year? I dont recall seeing him on last years roster.
  3. I think the fact that the regions with the clear cut #1 and #2 teams in the state, (9th and 11th) are matched up in the second round is ridiculous. They need to wait until after the regioin tournamenets and seed them or something. Not to mention, either team will be dog tired after that game on FRIDAY NIGHT, then have to come back and play the early game saturday morning.
  4. And you don't think other schools don't get that ?
  5. Well, I tell you this, I grew up playing AAU with Matt Walls, and the kid couldn't shoot the ball all that well. Once he got to high school, he was one of the best shooters in the state. And the Jared Carter thing, he has had two or three separated shoulders and a coach that doesn't care about his development now. Can I ask a question real quick. Why do you think those kids come to Scott County ? There's a reason they didn't go to Holmes, Catholic, or any other school .... I'm just saying.
  6. And what evidence do you have that would make you believe that is a false statement ?
  7. They don't have to worry about another game until they get to Rupp.
  8. Don't hate us cause you ain't us. Also remember that they beat Lexington Catholic that year, the third ranked team in the country at the time.
  9. That's great he has more room to grow, but Jackson just came to a coaching staff that develops players better than any other in the state. Anyone that watched Guyn last year will tell you that he had an awful jumper. Over the summer, work on it, now he has an outstanding mid-range game and is probably shooting high 20's, low 30's percentage wise on his three point shot. Jackson is by far the best rebounding point guard in the state, his vision is absolutely insane, and has ridiculous takeover ability. Do you think the reason he doesn't score may be because he has three studs to give the ball to on that team. When he wants to score, he does. Also, never in a game have I seen Jackson's facial expression change. No matter wether he gets a steal or commits a turnover, its always the same. Just see what i'm talking about next year when he develops his jump shot to be just as good as Guyn's over the summer.
  10. You get the number one recruiting class in the country that same year, just like Tubby did.
  11. Ha Ha, yeah, I would celebrate an 11th, 16th first round match up too Eta.
  12. Yeah, on the road in the 11th region anyone can get beat on a given night, but I think Scott County got a good lessson on what happens when you overlook people in the Dunbar game.
  13. I just put in my vote on this game and it was only an 18-11 edge toward Scott Co. Either Franklin Co. fans are voting a lot or people have just gone absolutely crazy.
  14. Toby Harris after they won the 8th Region in 1998.
  15. Probably 2004 when they went to the state semi-finals and lost in overtime to Chris Lofton and Mason Co. after they bent them by, I think, 26 at the Fieldhouse. I hope your not trying to imply that it's talent alone that gets Hicks a lot of wins, because he didn't just fall into two state championships.
  16. It's fun to see this team play when Dakota's shot is on. It really spreads things out and opens things up for the rest of his teammates. Pretty spread out stats though. Euton had 35 pts. 5 reb. 2 ast. and 2 steals. Richie Phares had 10 pts. and 5 reb., Guyn had 12 pts. 3 reb. 2 ast., Jackson had 10 pts. 6 reb. 5 steals, and Freshman Tamron Manning had 4 pts. 5 ast. and 3 rebs. For Adair Co. Ballou had 16 pts. 11 rebs. and 7 blocks, Fudge had 13 pts., 5 ast. and 4 rebs., but had 7 T.O.'s.
  17. Chad Jackson will be the best college player, more raw talent. He will be a top 10 player at his position next year IMO.
  18. Let me re-phrase that, the 4th game in Hicks system. If you have tape of that game, go back and see how many times the offense started by Euton throwing it in, the guard taking it down the side, then throwing to Euton up top and he would either shoot or swing it if the shot wasn't available. I definatly agree with Holmes being ranked ahead of them based on the head to head match up. I also believe that Holmes athleticism gave Phares and Euton a lot of problems. But if (and hopefully from a fans view) they meet again, see if Scott Co. doesn't try to press more often because it gave Holmes fits at the end of the game.
  19. Don't worry, he's from Georgetown. Will be the best player to ever come out of Scott County IMO.
  20. It's not so much Euton needs to learn the pass, he was just off at the beginning last night. None of the three pointers he shot in the first half were really contested, and he hit two back to back big three's in the second half. I think Hicks had him up top on the 1-3-1 because of the two quick fouls he picked up at the start of the game, even though i agree he is too slow to be up there. And your right about Ge-Lawn. He is quickly becomming a front runner for next year's Mr.Basketball IMO.
  21. Tamron Manning from Scott County. Period. By far the best ... Billy G. better get on this kid right away because from what I understand he is supposed to get up to about 6'8" or 6'9". May be a Kevin Durant type player at the next level If that is true. I saw him throw down two nasty dunk tips on Bryan Station, he's the next big star out of this state.
  22. I wouldn't say that Holmes has beat as many top 20 teams as Scott County. Looking at their schedule, besides there region, which they have to play, they dont have many tough games outside of the two Station games, Ballard and Scott Co. They have beaten Ballard by 20, Clark Co. by 20, Mason Co., Anderson Co. by 15, Bryan Station by 27, and Madison Central by 21. On the other hand, they did lose to Holmes, but they played by far the worst game I have seen them play in a long time. Need I remind you that was only that groups 4th game playing together as well.
  23. I know it's mostly innaccurate to compare scores, but Scott Co. beat Bryan Station by 27 and Bryan Station beat Dunbar by 19 in the same week. Unless Dunbar holds the ball like they always do against Scott Co., I say Cards by 25.
  24. Great game, but I think Scott County just wasn't in this game mentally. I think it was more of them beating themselves then anything Mason Co. did. But give the Royals credit, they played hard and, IMO, they made themselves the favorite for the 10th Region.
  25. Did Anderson Co. hold the ball the whole game like they did against Scott Co.?
