Eta Rho Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I was just looking through the KHSAA site and noticed that Holmes currently has won 30 straight games at home. Since 06/07, they are 33-1 playing at Evans Fieldhouse, with their only loss coming to Holy Cross on Jan 12, 2007 in OT. What other teams currently have a long winning streak or have pretty impressive home records over the same time frame? (past 3 years)
amos Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I know your going to love this ETA .:dancingpa Elliott hasnt lost at Home since Dec 19, 2006 They have won 25 games in a row at Home
BANKSHOT Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Shelby Valley I think has won 55 straight. This is going to be their second consecutive senior class to graduate without a home loss.
PennStation's Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 People can correct me if I'm wrong but not sure how many if any HHS lost in the late 90's.
DragonFire Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 It's not nearly as impressive as Holmes or a few others on here, but Warren Central is 30-5 in their last 35 games at home, stretching back to February of 2006, with all five of those losses coming last year. They are 76-8 at home since January of 2001. Their three longest home winning streaks in school history have all taken place in that time. Central is 70-3 in that timespan outside of last season's lapse.

That's pretty impressive. I'd be interested in knowing how many top 25 teams that SV has beat during that span at home. Regarless, 55 straight at home is an impressive streak.
Eta Rho Posted February 16, 2009 Author Posted February 16, 2009 People can correct me if I'm wrong but not sure how many if any HHS lost in the late 90's. Only year that I can remember them going undefeated in the late 90's was 97/98 when they were 8-0 at home. Anyone know the all time record for most consecutive games won at home in the 9th region? I seem to remember Covcath having a pretty impressive streak from I think 03/04-05/06?

Regarless, 55 straight at home is an impressive streak. I'm not sure about ranked teams, but the last loss was an 81-86 defeat to Lexington Catholic.
Eta Rho Posted February 16, 2009 Author Posted February 16, 2009 So I take it Shelby Valley (55) and Holmes (30) have the two longest current home winning streaks in the state?

I don't think CCH's home winning streak was that impressive. They lost the final game at home during the '02/'03 season against Conner. CCH went undefeated at home in the '03-'04 season. KHSAA.org has them going 11-0. CCH lost their 1st home game of the '04-'05 season. They also lost to Brossart later that year, at home.
5thIndian Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Adair County has won 24 in a row. Last loss was 30 Jan 07 to Taylor Co. Had a 17 game winning streak before that game. So we are 41-1 at home starting 29 Nov 05. Two home games left, with Bardstown on friday, also host the district tournment this year. But we graduate 4 starting seniors this year :( With only one loss Eastern might have a streak, doubt it since they are in the 7th region.

Maybe I'm thinking about their consecutive wins againt 9th region/nky opponents then. I believe in 03/04 or 04/05, Brossart ended some type of streak they had going against nky opponents?

No. CCH lost to Brossart in '04, @ Brossart. Brossart beat CCH in '05 @ CCH. In '03/'04, CCH ran the table in the 9th. St. Henry was the 9th region team who broke CCH's consecutive win streak against 9th region teams.
