I'm not exactly sure why this is "news". How many people get arrested every day for misdemeanor theft, yet we don't see them on the news?

You do have a good point. I am not saying he wasnt wrong, he was. However, to have him arrested and then to have a local news program publish his arrest along with his name and occupation over TWENTY DOLLARS, is over the top IMO. I don't think the punishment fit the crime.

 

Yes, he should have been punished...fired and not allowed back to work any professional game......but publically humiliated? Over twenty dollars? Perhaps they suspect him of more, but if all they can do is PROVE $20.00, then I think they both handled it wrong.

$20 this time. How many times did he do it in the past, though? It could quickly add up. Think about this. If he did this for 10 people every game, that's $200. How many home games are there? What if it was only $20 this time? What if it was greater amounts other times? What stops him, on a really big game from getting more? If he does this once, what's to stop him in the future?

 

I know it doesn't seem like much, but really, is that the point? As to the humiliation, I can't feel sorry for someone who did something they knew was wrong. They jeopardized themselves.

It wasn't over 20 dollars at all. It was over whatever the price of a Bengal's ticket is. I'm sure that's more than 20 dollars. It doesn't matter that he got twenty dollars for facilitating the person's theft.

I am in full support of Bengal ticket takers letting all fans in for free period. The product on the field is certainly not worth any admission price. The fact that Channel 9 reported on this is a farce. I have lost a lot of respect for news in general these days. All they do is report negativity and Im trying to turn over a positive leaf by reading books and listening to CD's. First thing they say to do is turn off the news !!!

 

Im sure many of you on here know who the guy was also that got caught. Sad just sad but to report it. That is a joke in itself.
