Tennessee 28 Kentucky 10

Maybe one of our offensive problems is that a play is called in the huddle, and then changed after we line up. Sometimes , they change it more than once. Could cause confusion.

Very ugly game, UK's offense is the cure for insomnia but when your QB is the best player, and you have no passing game and no running game to speak of what can you expect? I've said it before, but I can't wait until next season when they have a true stud QB.

IMO, this may have been UK's worst exhibition in the last 5 years. Entire team seemed to be very lethargic...no enthusiasm at all. I know this was a rebuilding year and they had a bunch of injuries, but this show tonight had nothing to do with rebuilding or injuries. UK had 2 weeks to get ready for an almost non-existent UT offense and they still didnt seem ready. They had some stupid penalties at the worst possible times and their tackling wasnt very good tonight. It was just an ugly performance. I have no clue of what they are trying to do on offense. Play selection has become very predictable. Dont major colleges do scouting reports on themselves to eliminate complacency?

I hope thet get straightened out before their bowl game. Going 7-6 with a bowl game win would be a good year this season. I hope they can, but I am beginning to question their heart. They act like they are punching a time clock and that isnt normal for Ky teams. If nothing else we could always depend on them giving a great effort!!

We have been spoiled the last two years with the talent UK had. IMO the injuries didnt hurt us as much as some want to believe; because unless Locke or Dicky was going to play QB or O-line they weren't going to make a difference. We did outstanding with what we had this year and maybe next year with some expirence it will be even better. At the end of the day I am proud as heck to be mad about not going to a better bowl. As young as I am I can remember the bad days of UK football. Woodson and company gave us hope and reason to watch football. The 06 and 07 team will always be the turning point of this program.

A sub-500 Tenn team playing with a head coach who has already been told you are fired was still able to beat up on the Cats, that's sad.

I was hoping to see a Cats win but would not have bet on it.

Its more of a comment on fans than him. We blow so much smoke and build up so much hype and expectations that when a kid plays like Jones has played for four years, you feel like he's been a disappointment. He is what he is. Average at best.

This is a great point.

Trust me, the media has all UK fans pumped up about these supposed 4-star recruits coming to Kentucky and all they are doing is setting many of them up for failure.

Very disappointing for sure. Must find a QB for next season. Cobb is a great athlete but not a SEC QB!!! Hopefully 1 of the incoming freshman can get it done. Maybe UK should make a trip to visit with the Georgia Tech staff and get a few option packages in before the bowl game???

I have really enjoyed watching GT carve up teams this year with their run first offense.

Cobb would be fine if they play calling allowed him to do what the does.

Tim Tebow couldn't succeed with Joker's calling lately.

I agree with you that the play calling has some real issues but Cobb is not an SEC caliber QB.

Cobb is not an SEC QB but he is more of an SEC QB than Hartline is. I mean we really don't have a choice. Hartline leaves any pass over 5 yards short. Next year I hope Newton or Mossaskowski (Sp?) can come in and let Cobb do what he does best...catch balls.

Kentucky lost this game when Tennessee scored the touchdown right before half. I said it then and then watched it happen.

Kentucky had nothing to lose in this game. Joker has been way too conservative this season. Making him the coach-in-waiting looked nice whenever Woodson was picking apart every team, but now ... well, not so much.

I truely hope that Newton or Moss. can lead this team next year, as true freshmen.

If not, I wipe out the staff and run at Leach from Texas Tech.

He's not an SEC-caliber QB, but he is an SEC-caliber athlete and we need to find ways to utilize that a little better.

Joker has been using the Nun Playbook for the last several weeks. I have never seen such conservative play-calling. And - this is our next head coach

UK has got to air it out more or they aren't going to rush the ball on anyone.

Made the drive down to Knoxville to watch this game. We bought four $45 tickets for $12 each. Plenty of seats avaiable. I had never seen Neyland Stadium and I must say that I was very impressed.

But it was a long, rainy drive back home, made longer after that performance.

Some UT fan a couple of rows behind us, and UK up 3-0, shouted, "COME ON VOLS! THIS IS KENTUCKY FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!!!:irked:

And a UK fan said to a group of celebrating UT fans as we were leaving the stadium, "Well, at least we're going to a bowl game."

I told my buddies that I wish the guy hadn't said anything, especially after just receiving a good thumping like that one.
