Have to think a while to find a more impotent performance as tonight.

 

In reality it is a rebuilding year, especially on offense, then you lose your two biggest playmakers on offense, and your likely starting QB gets jetted before the season.

On defense, there was some improvement, but they got worn down late in the year.

The dive started after the Bama game...which coincidentally coincided with increased expectations.

Despite getting a bowl bid for a third year in a row, this team gets 30 days of extra practice.

 

With that being said, coming off of two weeks of prep and they performed this way, was a letdown. I think that falls on CRB shoulders who at times has deservedly so taken heat for getting his team ready or for emotional prep.

 

Some say CRB may be ready for pasture, but I'm not sold on Joker right now. His playcalling this year was so so conservative and I didnt see much adjustments throughout especially in SEC play.

 

Looking forward, I think Steve Brown is going to have to tinker with his schemes. Far too vanilla, plays too much man to man and relies on his LB's too much. They don't have enough speed on the edges right now to play this consistently.

Offensively, we shall see how the two new kids do coming in. Unfortunately, Cobb can't throw the ball to himself.

 

Disappointing end, but there is another bowl game for a third year in a row.

 

Good observation. We should be happy with a bowl game and a 6-6 record, but they played well enough to make us raise our expectations and then they failed to perform. I will still be happy if they win the bowl game, but I really think we should've finished alot stronger.

Cobb would be fine if they play calling allowed him to do what the does.

 

Tim Tebow couldn't succeed with Joker's calling lately.

No way. He's a high school qb/college wideout forced into playing SEC qb. Never will work. Get him out wide.

He will be a great WR, but he could succeed at QB with better play calling. Joker sucked it up this season.

You're sort of limited in your play calling when the other team isn't worried about passing the ball successfully downfield.

They can't. They don't have a QB that has proven he can throw a pass more then 6 yards and hit his target, and if they do happen to make a decent pass by accident they don't have a receiver that can catch it.

Jones, along with #33 I believe just did not give the effort tonight on the defensive side for some reason.:confused:

Its more of a comment on fans than him. We blow so much smoke and build up so much hype and expectations that when a kid plays like Jones has played for four years, you feel like he's been a disappointment. He is what he is. Average at best.
