I get that same reply from Mrs. Streaker! (The part about not being noticed) :sssh::sssh:

Will you Highlands fans be making this trip this weekend?

On a side note, and totally off topic, another thread got me to thinking. When is the last time Highlands actually rode on a cheese bus to a game?

I know they take charter buses to ALL away games, no matter what the distance is.

I believe Duffy started the chartered bus trips. I remember seeing one at Newport Stadium when we used to play NC.

Brandon Roller will be SORELY missed. He IS one of the TOP LB's in the STATE. But LB is a strong area at HHS. Blake Newman, Travis Alford, Jake Turner, Teddy Abner, Mr. Consistency-Michael Laber, Nick "the STICK" Martin, David Hogue, possibly Oliver Head or even Josh Conner provide a wealth of LB talent and experience to step up and shine. TE will be ably manned by Newman, Hogue, and big #86 Kyle Welz. Brandon...it hurts deeply to be without you, and NOBODY feels as bad about it as you do (outside of Mom and Dad). But I have every confidence that you will be back next year terrorizing offenses and D-backfields the way ALL ROLLER'S DO and HAVE DONE!! God speed, young man!

That is a shame. What kind of injury is it? Hopefully not to severe. I played against his father, a great competitor and a good guy.

Looking at the game stats from last week I would have to agree that HHS has the advantage in special teams. If look earlier JC missed 2 of 5 XP in the 5 big plays listed earlier. If you have a kicker that is not hitting XP you are already down 7-6 every score.

I have seen Highlands play earlier this year against Hoptown and well Hoptown put 21 points on them even though the game was in hand they still scored 21 points. Hoptown has some speed though and equal speed at some positions and if JC is not as fast as Hoptown somewhere this may be one of those HHS typical blowouts. There are a couple of teams in the west with as much or more speed than Hoptown but I do not know of many as hoptown is a pretty fast team. There is a website that has the HHS/Hoptown game online if any JC fans want to see what they are in for and well for that matter the website also has one of those other west teams that is pretty fast as well on there too along with a BG/Henderson game they do a good job of covering the games. If I can put the link on here I will add it below if not can a mod remove it.

HHS vs Hoptown

Owensboro vs Meade Co

BG vs Henderson Co

Lex Cath vs St X

Ft Campbell vs Fort Knox

Just to name a few of the game with teams still playing.

I am going to say since JC has homefield that gives them a 7 point advantage so I will say the score will be 35-7 Highlands. They are fast and disciplined so JC will have to play a perfect game and get a few breaks depending on the weather. If it is raining and a little sloppy in the mountains which will slow HHS down some and the ball gets slick then I would say all bet are off because in poor conditions anything can and usually does happen.

I would really like to see this game.

I thought it was a "field turf" field?

Pretty bad...ACL, MCL + miniscus tear. Surgery scheduled for Wednesday is what I'm hearing. My prayers go out for a successful procedure.

Well if it is then the field will just be slick and the ball but not muddy which is always nice as for us if it rains in the WKY the stadium of champions might get a little torn up since it is real grass.

No...WKY Stadium also has an artificial surface.

Just stick to a "slick" football. ;)

Hopkinsville's stadium is the Stadium of Champions. I don't think he was talking about WKU.

I don't see anyone addressing what, imho, is the main negative in this game for Johnson Central. I do believe they will have to pass the ball in order to defeat HHS. I just don't know if they'll be able to. Anyone closer to this game (from either side) have any insight?
