November 15, 200817 yr Author 98 its the next day and your still foaming at the mouth. I dont know if I should say congrats VMI or congrats to you. I think it might have meant more to you. After I slept on this loss its still pathetic. The comparison made to Notre Dame football is dead on. Thankfully a cold night at the stadium can cure this pain. Foaming at the mouth? That's hilarious..... After this many years you guys still don't get it do you?
November 15, 200817 yr Author 3, however your statement that the 4 teams I mentioned being "4 consistent tourney teams" is just flat out untrue. No it's not. Penn State has the least amount of what you posted and they are a Big Ten team, hardly comparable to VMI and the Big South.
November 15, 200817 yr Author Long story short you really don't want to compare San Diego, Gardner Webb and VMI to Penn State, UAB, Western and Dayton.
November 15, 200817 yr No it's not. Penn State has the least amount of what you posted and they are a Big Ten team, hardly comparable to VMI and the Big South. So Penn State, who has 2 NCAA appearances since 1956, is a much better program than the San Diego program that has made 3 NCAA appearances in the last 6 seasons and beat #3 seed Connecticut last season simply because they are in the Big 10? Gotcha. :thumb:

November 15, 200817 yr Well I see B-ball has started. Cat Fans, all that matters is that you make the big dance in March. Thats why I love football so much where every game means so much. How many games to y'all play 35? Good Luck to the Cats for their next game.
November 15, 200817 yr :lol: I just started reading this thread and only made it to here, I cannot believe how big your blinders are with UK.. It cracks me up on a daily basis.. Are you a Kentucky fan?
November 15, 200817 yr The season's not over by any means, but this is a horrible loss... This isn't even VCU, this is freaking VMI. Awful loss... No ifs, ands, or buts about it...
November 15, 200817 yr He did lose to Dayton, Penn State, UAB and Western Kentucky. However, UK has no business losing to VMI at home. Penn State is in a power conference. That UAB team also beat Dwayne Wade's Marquette team and went to the Sweet Sixteen, Western KY loss also brought Patrick Sparks to UK and 2 Regional Elite Eights and 30 win seasons! Billy G is winless at UK in the NCAA after 1 tourney appearnce at UK. Tubby was 5-0 with a NCAA title.

Secondly, this Kentucky Program is in a lot better shape than it was when Tubby left. The talent level is there, this was a poorly managed game and there's no excuse for that. Personally, I think BCG needs to stop starting people because of their effort in practice. Porter has not business being in the game. He has numerous TO's in the first 5 minutes that lead to fast breaks and three point shots for VMI. Kentucky will be fine and IMO will contend for the SEC championship.
