Has anyone see the Big East Coaches and Players commercial spot for the Big East this year...and it is a little ironic the word they gave Kragthorpe is PERSEVERE. Now that is what I call foreshadowing.

Unbelievable!! Somebody has to much time on their hands. These type things always kill me and I dont have a dog in the fight. When you first start reading them, it seems to be a joke and then, the frightening realization sets in that these people are serious!?!!

All fan bases are the same. They want to win now and aren't willing to give a coach the time and a fair chance to build his program.

 

Of course, the anti-Brooks sentiment baffled me considering the state of UK's program when he arrived. It's not as baffling to see the Kragthorpe site, although I think it's ridiculous one game into his second season.

 

The biggest mistake U of L made, IMO, is not giving Kragthorpe control over his staff when he was hired. Given time, I think U of L fans will be satisfied with him...the question is, in the face of fan discontent, will Jurich be as patient and supportive as Barnhardt was?

 

I think he will. That doesn't mean Kragthorpe won't eventually get fired, but I think Jurich will give him a fair shot.

For the record I think sites like this are foolish. However I am not shocked by them. Sad to say but this is what you call "living vicariously through the program". Every program has these type of fans though.

It was disgusting when it happened to Brooks and I am just as disgusted that it has happened to Kragthorpe. They took over completely different situations on the surface, but according to Jurich there was a great number of issues under the surface that most UL fans weren't aware of that have made his job much more difficult than it should have been.

 

Either way, I hate to see fans react this way.

 

On a side note, I do find it humorous that the website devoted to getting Rich Brooks fired now has the statement 'We Were Wrong'. I have to give them credit for admitting they were wrong. But let UK have a bad loss or two and see if they don't jump ship again.

One question. If Jurich is the leading AD in the country was Petrino's winning enough to keep him satisfied, because he sure is saying what a mess he left. I know AD's aren't or shouldn't micro manage, but if things were that bad seems he should've done something.

I'll still contend that things weren't as bad when Petrino was there, the bad seeds may have been there but they didn't bloom until until Louisville started losing.

You may blame Petrino for picking some bad seeds, but if he kept them under control, how is it really his fault?
