Highlands' star RB Josh Conner hurt -broken fibula-

Featured Replies

Josh Conner is a very talented player and a great person too. His family is awesome and I wish them and him all the best. Also the Josh Conner I know will bounce back 100% and IMO will be a ready by 4 weeks.

Four weeks will be just in time for CovCath week. Maybe this is all a clever ruse. ;)

Whenever he gets back, I hope it's when he's fully healed and ready to go. :thumb:

Talked to Josh today,he is a little bit down but is excited about getting ready for a run at #18. He will be ready in about 4 or 5 wks.

Awesome! :ylsuper:
I am very sad to hear this news. I was really looking forward to seeing this young man play against my Cards.

Most important though, is his health long-term. Best wishes to Conner and here's hoping he makes it back in time to help the Birds bring yet ANOTHER state title home to Ft. Thomas.

Appreciate your concern about this young man. Great kid and was looking forward to watching him against the cards I m sure he will get over this and help his Birds bring home #18

Talked to the Ryle coaches today.. they feel for Josh and still know that even without him, they have their hands full.

Yeah...I believe the Birds play a team from Union first. Might not want to look past them. Play the Raiders, then you can worry about Colerain...

I am in no way looking past any team that Highlands plays this year and sorry that anyone took my post that way. However, looking at Highlands schedule, and I'm not the only one that sees it this way, the Colerain game is the one that jumps out at me and gives me a little shiver. Yes, Highlands has 15 games and they all are a challange, and yes we take each week one at a time. GO BIRDS.

Dr. Gates seems to think his return could be closer to the 4 week mark than the 6 week mark.

I heard the same thing. Josh is a tough kid and he didn't work this hard not to be on that field.

Sorry to hear. Best of luck to him on a healthy recovery.

Good luck young man, be smart in your return....get well soon.

Really sorry to hear about Josh's injury. I hope and pray he makes a very speedy recovery so he can get back to doing what he does best. He's such a talented RB and I really want to see him finish his senior year at that position racking up huge numbers. Best of luck to you Josh. :thumb:

Get well soon Josh. Keep your head up, you'll be back on the field before you know it.
