Hope Josh recovers well. Did they have to do surgery or did they just cast it? I'm not an expert, but I have heard recorvery may take 4 weeks to 10 weeks. It all depends how severe it was. This injury came at the wrong time, but their team needs to move on. Josh needs to listen to his doctor and start rehab as soon as he can. I heard that rehab is bike and swimming. Something good may come out of all of this. Stay positive!

I am in no way looking past any team that Highlands plays this year and sorry that anyone took my post that way. However, looking at Highlands schedule, and I'm not the only one that sees it this way, the Colerain game is the one that jumps out at me and gives me a little shiver. Yes, Highlands has 15 games and they all are a challange, and yes we take each week one at a time. GO BIRDS.

Yep, the 13-8 victors over Cincy St. X will be tough.

This stinks. Hopefully Josh makes a full recovery in the 4 week timeframe. As stated JC, listen to your doctor and trainers. Good luck...

Ya' got that right...I think Cardsfan has been a MAJOR sandbagger! But hey, the Birds will "man-up" and give the Cards the best they got!!

Wow 4 weeks. Medical treatment sure has improved since I broke mine.

Conner was injured in the scrimmage against Male. The early report is a broken fibula. Conner will get X-rays in the morning.

Updates tomorrow.

Best of luck to a fantastic football player.

I hope it does not cost him a chance at a scholarship.

My son broke his fibula last year at the end of September and with healing and therapy was not cleared until the end of January. Four week seems very hard to believe.

Keep in mind that there are different kinds of fractures, such as hairline, spiral, etc., and the prognosis is different depending on what kind of fracture it is (and where it occurred on the bone). If the team doctor is saying that he thinks Conner will be back in 4-5 weeks (as opposed to 6 weeks or more), it must be that the fracture is not so severe. We'll all see, I guess.

I am sure the doctor will not let him return until he is completly healed.

I wish him all the best and hope that he does make it back as soon as is mentioned. It would be a shame to miss out on his senior year.

We all will miss your exciting play and watching you gain those tough yards that very few can do. We look forward to seeing you out there again. Just please listen to doc and do whatever they tell you to. Remember, football is only temporary, walking is something you want to be able to do forever! Your health is the most important thing. Please be safe and I wish you a speedy recovery. It broke my heart to hear that this happened. I know you will make it back and finish strong. Good luck young man!
