Jay Bruce

I know he wont be able to keep up the pace that he has set in his first full week, but WOW!!! He has given the Reds and their fans a shot in the arm.

I truly beleive that the Reds have the right mix of youth and veterans that could start to put together a run for the division title.

Way to go Jay!!!:dancingpa

It's not likely, but certainly not out of the question.

While I think it's great that Bruce is doing so well, let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. I mean at the beginning of the season everyone was getting "pumped" about Cueto and he came falling back to earth in no time.

He's doing great right now. I'd love nothing more than to see a repeat of the mid 70's/1990.

If he keeps playing like this, he'll really give the Reds a shot at making the post season. But I'm not sure how long he can keep playing the way he is...

Bruce stats after week one:

13 Hits in 22 ABs,an BA of .590

6 Walks

6 RBIs

2 Homers

2 Steals

He should be the NL player of the week easily.

Yes,he should.:thumb:

Bruce is off to a great start and he looks awesome. A run into the post-season, requires pitching.

Our top 4 looks pretty solid if Cueto can give us an effort like that every 5th day.

Agreed and consistency, is a must from the starters. Quality starts and middle relief, will be a key over the 20 straight games.

Bruce has looked like a 10yr vet, so far.

I think we can see another reason why Hamilton became expendable.

I still make that trade...Volquez for Hamilton....but there are far too many people that harp on that trade and feel as if the Reds got hosed.
