Ditto...I would rather see Bruce in the OF than Patterson, but the rest of the team makeup was the hand he was dealt.

I believe he's doing alright. With 20 wins and 3 below .500 at this time. The leading AL team has 27 wins at this time. They haven't fell off the map just yet. This is the time when injured players start making a difference. Either good or bad.

Peter Gammons said at the first of the season that the Reds should contend in the Central. They are obviously not going to. Baker is the leader of the team.

 

I tend to think Peter Gammons is something of a goof and don't rely on much of what he has to say except when it comes to the American League and his beloved Boston Red Sox..
