Why were you up playing games at that hour?

No school or work Friday, just a long guys night.

I didn't go to bed til around 3:30, so I guess I slept through it here in NKY... Kinda crazy though....

I asked one of my students if he felt the earthquake. He looked at me like I was crazy and said he doesn't live in this county.

:scared::scared: ;)

About a hour ago I was at work sitting in a booth with a table and I noticed the soft drink on the table was slightly vibrating....Could have been the aftershock...:creepy:

Center is I guess around Evansville?

I'm guessing along the New Madrid fault line?

I didn't notice anything, but I was wrestling around with my 9 month old.

Been a long time since I ever recall one near NKY area....I want to say, in the late 80's maybe?

The epicenter was about 41 miles north of Evansville. My son was asleep, and woke up really freaked out. His girlfriend, who's from Los Angeles, told him, "It's just an earthquake, go back to sleep". :lol: About an hour ago, they had an aftershock that was pretty strong as well.

We talked about the whole rating system today and apparently back in 1812 there were three earthquakes here, maybe a little farther west, that are believed to have been all over 8.0. That means that they would have been 1,000 times worse than the one we experienced today. The bad news is that they say it will likely happen again, the good news is it probably won't be for another 400 years. Don't ask me how they know all of this but that is what our current events discussion was about.

So I guess this is the way you found out they were staying the night together:D

Ummm...no....I already knew...well, not knew, knew, but knew, if you know what I mean. :lol:

Dang I was on the road an didn't feel a thing. It came on the radio.

I live next to a railroad track, and it just felt like a long train was going by.
