Woke me up in Louisville

I thought I was having some sort of weird cramp or seizure and went right back to sleep! In fact, if I hadn't seen this thread I'd have forgotten all about it... creepy.

WEST SALEM, Ill. - A 5.4-magnitude earthquake that appeared to rival the strongest recorded in the region rocked people up to 450 miles away early Friday, surprising residents unaccustomed to such a powerful Midwest temblor.

The quake just before 4:37 a.m. was centered six miles from West Salem, Ill., and 66 miles from Evansville, Ind. It was felt in such distant cities as Chicago, Cincinnati, Milwaukee, and Des Moines, Iowa, 450 miles northwest of the epicenter, but there were no early reports of injuries or significant damage.

I thought my neighbors were up to their shananigans again. I'm actually relieved that it was an earthquake

I am in Charlestown, Indiana and we felt it around 5:30 something this morning. Kinda cool!!!!!!!!1

closet doors and a couple of wall fixtures rattled enough to wake me up. We have some new houses being built across the street and I thought initially it must be a big truck coming down the road. Walked out the front door of my house to see and no body was over at the construction site. Thought, must have been a quake.

Woke me up in Bellevue. Kind of crazy!

I'm like 60 miles from the epicenter, felt it hard, it was absolutely nuts, scary and woke me up, i thought my bed was possesseed for a second...

I experienced an earth quake once while I lived in Alaska. It is pretty crazy to go through.

Woke up and heard the TV shaking. An earthquake was the last thing I thought about in my sleepy state of mind.
