Don't know. One would think that an Asst. Prin. is an Asst. Prin. no matter whether it's elementary or high school If he gets the Prin. job, he would be at a higher level than Dan. Sounds like double standards to me.

I was told all the talent is in the underclassman, let the upperclassmen leave and start the rebuilding now. The job does not have to be posted for 30 days if you hirer within. Does anyone think the Coach before Rosen has a chance to come back. I think he has a daughter that is coming up that is pretty good.

Sorry to hear about Coach Rosen and I hope for the best for WV. They are losing a lot of quality seniors this year and a new Coach will have the pleasure of putting a program together.

 

I still think the team last year really beat everyone they should except for a few teams, and did not have a bad season. Their win against Oldham was great and Rosen did a good job coaching that game.

Mine too but that isn't going to happen. They wouldn't let him coach the boys so I don't see him being allowed to coach the girls. What a shame, having such a good coach in their own backyard and not using him.

Don't quite understand the rule prohibiting admin. to coach. Was the last coach a teacher, or paraproffesional?

I don't know if he has expressed any interest in returning to coaching. I know he has been enjoying watching his daughter play on various teams and seems to be really enjoying himself. If he wanted to come back, I think they would be crazy not to hire him. He worked his butt off and really cared for the girls. He played the best players and I know that upset alot of parents. Too bad!

I hope the administration can make a good selection but considering the track record they are going to have to make a vast improvement. I mean lets face it Luebbe then Rosen. Luebbe may have had a decent record but talking about watering down the schedule as much as possible. I know that we are in that conference - just a thought, maybe we should get out of it. Did Luebbe ever win a region game - Noooo. Coach Rosen can put that on her resume.

Once you choose to step into administration it is my opinion that you need to devote yourself fulltime to those duties and simply don't have the time to coach any further. This is something a coach needs to be sure of before he/she takes that next step up the ladder into administration IMO.

This is an excellent point, L1. I think that their season went well and ended on a high note, that being the first round win in the region against another district's winner.

 

Maybe Coach Rosen wasn't as bad as she has been portrayed.

:thumb: As an outsider watching Walton a handful times each year I always thought Luebbe was a bit too full of himself. Very cocky and I think he thought that people came to the games to watch him coach. People of Walton need to move on with regards to that guy. He's gone people, get over it.

Luebbe played who he had to play. His schedule was no more watered down than this year's. You must also remember that Scott Co. was in the district when he coached and there was no seeding. His teams won the games they were supposed to win and some additional ones. Unlike this year's team.

If he applies for the job, he's not gone. He's still teaching at WV and attends many games. Whether he's cocky or not, his overall record speaks for itself. He was always promoting his girls and I know of at least six (I do believe there may be a couple more - at least one every year he coached with the exception of the 02 year) that went on and played at the next level. I believe he only coached 6 years so that's not bad at all. He went above and beyond to get the girls to the next level. What's so wrong about that?
