I say good for these 20 coaches, doing there job standing up for what they believe and asking for help to at least allow other schools to have a chance. Most people whether they admit it or not know these schools have a little bit of an advantage over others in the state, the size difference alone is extreme.

These male gendered people should go coach Soccer, or maybe hockey, where a game can end in a tie, and everyone can feel better about themselves at the end of the day.

I would like to know the credibility of the source. For the sake of this diatribe good sir, I would request that you provide me a list of players and counties as well. Since you seem so well versed in where our students come from, perhaps you could humor me in this rhetorical endeavor. RP, I didn't start this "Scared" thread. I just mentioned the clock and how we had two more plays. As in sport history games are replayed over and over. Skip my posts if you don't want to read my stuff.

What do you mean you had two more plays? Do you mean that there were two more plays planned, assuming the clock didn't run out? I was at the game, and the clock ran out pure and simple, just as we stopped your guy at the goal line. Believe me, I was watching, beause I think almost everyone on the Trinity side of the stadium was well aware of how close we were to losing that game and exactly how much time elapsed on each play.

 

Or are you saying the clock was mismanaged, and that you actually should have had time to run 2 more plays? In that case, I think you are nursing some sour grapes, which I might be doing in your shoes as well. It's really tough to accept losing in such a well-fought battle.

Most public schools have kids go both ways, the X/Rocks have over 100 kids for the varsity alone.

 

Most of your points are debatable, but this one I just don't understand. Why can't a school with over 1000 kids be extremely competitive in football is beyond me, I think that boils down to tradition and support. IMO, no 6A school should have very many, if any at all going both ways when you have that many kids to pick from.

We often hear that schools like Highlands could "compete" (whatever that means) with T and X. HHS has about 450 boys.

I would not divide them up. I would have a seperate division for private schools then they could be assured of a state title every year and not have to worry about Male every ten years or so upsetting the apple cart. Let's face it the privates are in a league of their own, so why not give them a division of their own?

That's hilarious! :lol: It's only the (unsuccessful) public programs that favor that idea. That way they can have their trophy without actually having to take the steps necessary to "earn" it.

That argument is so tired 'Bama, why don't you get over it, and celebrate your son's team's success, instead of belittling their efforts. Find out where Tony Driver grew up, where he played high school football, who he lived with, and then talk about kids from other counties.

I don't know about 20 counties, but there have been articles in the C-J within the last year stating that either T or X drew from 13 counties. Not sure if this included Indiana.
