March 14, 200818 yr Author Kind of a silly title for your post don't you think?? Not really. Normally, when you don't want to play a team you are scared of them. Just calling a spade a spade.
March 14, 200818 yr RM since you asked so nicely 2006-10623. I looked all over the place for 2004 but I couldn't find that years attendance. Not to bad for a football game during a non-stop rain storm.
March 14, 200818 yr Author Where is the line of separation? Are the two districs that occur in Louisville split by Geography? Are there more AAAAAA schools in Western Kentucky and Louisville combined than the rest of the state? I would like to know the answer because I don't. Is it purely numerical that these two districts in the same city are on different sides of the state bracket? CLASS 6A District-6-1- Apollo, Daviess County, Graves County, Henderson County, Madisonville-North Hopkins, Marshall County District-6-2- Central Hardin, Greenwood, Meade County, Nelson County, North Hardin District-6-3- Butler, DuPont Manual, Pleasure Ridge Park, St. Xavier District-6-4- Bullitt Central, Fern Creek, Male, Southern District-6-5- Ballard, Eastern, Seneca, Trinity (Louisville) District-6-6- Boone County, Campbell County, Conner, Ryle, Simon Kenton District-6-7- Henry Clay, Lafayette, Paul Dunbar, Tates Creek District-6-8- George Rogers Clark, Madison Central, Scott County, Shelby County As you can see 12 of the 36 6A schools are in Louisville. 11 schools are in WKY/CKY and 13 are in NKY/EKY. The KHSAA has to divide Louisville to make it work. That's what makes the Ohio/Cincy example not applicable here.

March 14, 200818 yr I have to agree from a geographical perspective. How are 2 Louisville schools not in the same region? At minimum, they should meet in the semis.
March 14, 200818 yr RM since you asked so nicely 2006-10623. I looked all over the place for 2004 but I couldn't find that years attendance. It was just over 11,000.
March 14, 200818 yr If Mike Yeagle, Dale Mueller, Chuck Smith, or Kerry Combs all decided to coach football in Louisville, no one could argue against T and X and the excellence they have achieved.
March 14, 200818 yr Gee, how many times do we have to go over this ... stuff? In 6A (as was the case in the old 4A), the geographic midpoint is right down the middle of Louisville. As it turns out, St. Xavier is on the west side of the line and Trinity is to the east. There has been no gerrymandering to get those two programs on opposite sides of the line, only by those that have tweaked the playoff system to get those two teams to meet before the championship game. Here's a challenge, everyone ... one I've laid out before and no one has met. Draw up a 6A alignment that is geographically sound and balanced and has Trinity and St. Xavier on the same side of the playoff bracket.
March 14, 200818 yr Not to bad for a football game during a non-stop rain storm. Wow... It rained at the 2006 State Championship game too?
March 14, 200818 yr The reason the old 4A system was changed in the early 1980s was for travel reasons. In 1980, Paducah Tilghman had to travel to Shelby County and Henry Clay in the quarterfinals and semifinals. Trinity never had to leave town to get to the finals. At least under the current system, the Louisville teams have to travel once in a while.
March 14, 200818 yr Wow... It rained at the 2006 State Championship game too? I guess that's funny???????? Sorry but I guess Iam slow.
March 14, 200818 yr RM since you asked so nicely 2006-10623. I looked all over the place for 2004 but I couldn't find that years attendance. 11,024 in 2004
March 14, 200818 yr I say we play a round-robin tournament for state football championships!:lol::lol:
