UofL played an absolute stinker tonight, which I hope they get out of their system.

I don't uderstand the UNC speculation. You think UofL is a 8 seed, where do you see them matching up.

 

This game is easy to break down. UofL got dominated by Pitt's guards. Pitt wanted it more and took it to UofL. Don't let Pitt fool you though, they are good. They have a top 20 RPI and have only loss nine games, playing without their little general Fields most of the season.

 

UofL should of won, but they got beat by the better team tonight. I think UofL's RPI and SOS are still deserving of a four seed, but it would not surprise me if the selection people give them a five.

 

I didn't say anything about them being an 8 seed. However, if they end up being a 4 or 5 seed they could very well end up in the same bracket with North Carolina who has an excellent chance of playing the 3rd and 4th round at Charlotte. Had they improved their seed I think they might have ended up in Detroit.

Just looking ahead. I think a four is in line, but don't be surprised to see the big five seed.

 

This team plays great defense and rebounds well. They just can't shoot on a consistent basis. Their guards will be the death of them.

I said the better team tonight. Pitt outworked and outplayed them. I am not bashing, I am a huge UofL fan. Just calling it like I see it.

Didn't see UofL coming out and laying an egg in their opening game. Figured they'd be ticked off at the loss to the Hoyas and looking to punish somebody. Give Pitt credit, they took it to the Cards, and deserve to move on.

 

Still think it's a razor thin line between a #4 or a #5 seed right now. Really have to see how some of the other teams they're competing with for those spots fare tonight and tomorrow. Somebody else's early dismissal could help keep the Cards up...but even just one win could bump them down.

Let me run this down for you one more time. UofL demolished UK (in January) at Rupp Arena. The week before UK beat Vandy. UK had their ENTIRE roster. UofL did not have Earl Clark. It was not a game.

Yes, UK has got better since then. So has UofL. I would argue UofL has improved more than UK since that game (so would most experts).

Cards guards are KILLING them. There is no threat from the outside and they are shooting like some of us. T Will needs to re think some things too.

I don't think enough credit is being given to a very tough Pitt team that treats MSG like their home court...

I'm a Pitt fan but there not as good as you all are putting them out to be. There a terrible shooting team from the outside, usually there best offense is off a miss when Blair or Young get the offensive rebound and put it back up. There guard play is still questionable when Fields comes off the floor Ramon and Benjamin can't carry the load that's why they struggled with out him. O well though I enjoyed every minute of that game especially when the final outcome was settled. GO PITT!

Keep in mind that Pitt always plays well in the Big East tournament. The announcers made the comment that Pittsburgh has been to the championship game six times in the last seven years.

 

IMO that doesn't matter. UL has a history of playing well on the road. So bottom line the last 2 games UL looks like early exit in the NCAA.

Sometimes T-Will will make you think he has figured it out, then he will do some goofy stuff. Two consecutive possessions in OT he made terrible decisions.
