Sam Young might be the most underrated player in the country. Big, strong, can score and defend. He drove me nuts this year...

Pitt is no pushover...they're always a good defensive team it seems. Disappointing for U of L, no doubt, but not the end of the world.

Please. UK is not in Pitt's league. Don't go there. It is too late for me to laugh.

Let me run this down for you one more time. UofL demolished UK (in January) at Rupp Arena. The week before UK beat Vandy. UK had their ENTIRE roster. UofL did not have Earl Clark. It was not a game.

Yes, UK has got better since then. So has UofL. I would argue UofL has improved more than UK since that game (so would most experts).

 

I would love to see UK in the first round.

Still, you look for a silver lining and bad as the Cards played, it still took OT for Pitt to win. The one constant the last two games has been the poor execution of Jerry Smith and T-Will's absence. We've got to get those two more focused.

 

Cards guards are KILLING them. There is no threat from the outside and they are shooting like some of us. T Will needs to re think some things too.

 

Sometimes T-Will will make you think he has figured it out, then he will do some goofy stuff. Two consecutive possessions in OT he made terrible decisions.

I agree with a lot of things already stated... UofL played TERRIBLE, but STILL got the game into overtime. I don't know if I'd say my Cardinals are actually a better team than Pitt, at least talent-wise, but when they play don't as tired and careless as they did this game and put some heart into it then they beat Pitt.

 

Also, due to previous, seemingly random NCAA seedings of the Cardinals, I see them as getting a 6 seed, though deserving a 5 or maybe 4 depending on other teams losing.

 

...and let's not be too hasty, people... UofL is still better than UK this year.

A nice observation. Of course, T-Will takes more shots when Smith and McGee can't hit the broad side of a barn, which has been happening a lot recently.

Vandy, Xavier, Uconn, Notre Dame and Purdue all lost. I don't see anyway the Cards don't get a three now. These were the teams they were competing with. The top four or the last three seed. That is how I see it now.
