February 21, 200818 yr I've heard sections of 65 from Louisville to Bowling Green are/were closed. Anyone else, or confirm this?
February 21, 200818 yr We have absolutely nothing going on here and the NWS has cancelled our warning. They don't call us Southern Kentucky for nothing.
February 21, 200818 yr I've heard sections of 65 from Louisville to Bowling Green are/were closed. Anyone else, or confirm this? I heard something about it being closed at Horse Cave. Not sure why.
February 21, 200818 yr Just starting in Morehead, a little round snow. Husband has gone to the dr. at Cave Run Clinic which is on a hill . Hope it doesn't get to bad, but it is only about 5 min from the house.
February 21, 200818 yr It started with the ice here in Bardstown just before 11 a.m. The parking lot out back — and my car as well — is covered in a sheet of ice. I think I'm going to have to take the long way home to avoid going up the hill.
February 21, 200818 yr Light freezing rain here in Owsley County. My steps and van have ice. I think our county is probably the southern boundary for the freezing rain, according to the radar map.
February 21, 200818 yr I just read where I - 64 westbound is closed between mile markers 44 and 46. Here is the link. WLEX-18
February 21, 200818 yr I just read where I - 64 westbound is closed between mile markers 44 and 46. Here is the link. WLEX-18 I think this report may not be accurate. The story said I-64 was closed in Franklin County, so I called my dad who is a firefighter in Franklin Co. He said they haven't had any calls for wrecks on the interstate, so the closure probably isn't in Franklin County.

February 21, 200818 yr If it keeps this up its going to be a bad one tomorrow morning. Not if you stay in bed.
February 21, 200818 yr They called off school early today cause the threat of the ice storm but all we got so far is rain.
February 21, 200818 yr I was going to post a new thread about busted weather forecasting....again, in Kentucky. Once again, the weather terrorists forecast "SIGNIFICANT" ice storm, winter storm watches, etc. I just drove back from LEX on I-64, and while I had to get ice off the windshild and wipers, it was nothing like Armageddon that people were fearing. It's slick if you drive like a nut. I'm just wondering if this is another busted forecast like the infamous 1-3 inches of snow forecasted for my area the other day, only to see school canceled for no reason and now the radar looks as if things will begin to improve.
