75 in NKY is just wet. The side roads are covered and slick, at least here in Independence. On the way home, it was a mixture of snow, rain, and sleet.

It looks like this one will make the forecasaters look good.

Indeed. We've had going on six hours of freezing rain here in Bardstown. The temp is supposed to go up above freezing at midnight, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that when I pull out of the garage in the morning, it's onto a wet but not slick driveway.

So far, in NKY, it's been mainly a snow event. But the freezing rain line is getting very close. We should see at l,east a few hours of freezing rain tonight.

Have you been outside, or just looking out your window? That snow has been mixed with sleet since at least 3:20, at least in Cincy down to Independence.

I've been in the freezing rain zone almost all day today. Worked in Madison, IN then had to drive back up to the NKY. By the time I got back home the windshield wipers had enough.

In Fort Thomas, it's mostly snow. I guess we're up in the mountains here.:lol:

Definitely not a rain event, as I said.

They're saying I-71 between Cincinnati and Louisville is a proverbial skating rink.

Anyone made the trip from Taylor Mill to Ft. Thomas? How are the roads?

How crazy would I be to drive from Taylor Mill to Louisville this evening? Need to be there tomorrow morning by 9am.

Don't do it. Company should put you up in a hotel.

We just got back from eating supper at the Newport Bob Evans . They were going to close the restaurant early after the last customer left . Its only been snow here in Southgate , the foothills of Ft. Thomas . Right BF .

Over here in Independence we've had pretty solid precipitation for goin three hours now. The roads are terrible and Im smellin a three day weekend...:walk:

We should put in a ski lift along Covert Run.

What are they predicting the roads to be like on Friday? I heard rain by afternoon, so I'm assuming they should just be wet by Friday night.

It took me from downtown Cincy to Erlanger 1/2 hour to get home and on the radio they said I-71 Southbound was a mess and not moving. Also earlier they had road's shut down in Louisville, not a good decission to go to Louisville tonite. Probably not in the a.m. either. JD
