We should apply to get the 2012 Olympics.

Actually the road infront of my house looks great!

Should be some Federal and State money available there somehow to fund those Olympics .

Just reported on WAVE 3 in Louisville that part of Hurstborne Pkwy. is closed.

I'm lucky to be here right now. I just got off work, and if there had been more traffic on the road, I definitely wouldn't be here. We spun from our side of the road to the other side of the road, and luckily there was no oncoming traffic. I swear we did 5 360's in the middle of the road before getting it turned back around. And we constantly had to pull over to the side of the road to scrape the ice off the windshield, as it froze as soon as it hit the windshield. I have never been so happy to be on bluegrasspreps!

Many NKY roads are still snow-covered and the expressways around Cincinnati have been at a stand still since 5pm. I think almost everybody will be off school tomorrow.

Glad you are home safe.:thumb:

NKU's campus closed at 3, kinda urked me because I usually work out in our gym from 3-5. Well needless to say the entire campus leaving at one took a while, took men about 40 minutes just to get out of the parking garage.

As for the roads, I went to skyline at 4:20 ish, followed by our bar next store in Independence. Then made the commute home about a mile south of SK. Roads were completely covered, but it was fun too, I played a bit, definitely power slid into my parking spot, only going about 20 lol, but fun.

The roads were a a mess, best call of the day, I called in work at 4, was supposed to be in at 7 and work til 2, friend wrote me at 7:09 and told me they were letting everyone go home.

Glad you are home safe.:thumb:

Thank you, I am too! Worst driving experience for me EVER!

Okay it is 6:50 a.m. Friday morning. I left my house around 6 a.m. and it took me only 20 minutes from Erlanger to downtown. Actually the highway is cleaner today than last night. Little wet and make sure you have fluid in your windshield washer. Downtown street's a little slushy. All main roads were passable as I took Dixie to Ft. Mitchell to i-75 into downtown. Good luck everyone and just take your time. JD

I can't wait to be headed to Nashville here in a few hours (3 p.m. to be exact). Hope the roads through western KY are fine....sounds like the roads in NKY and Louisville will be okay.

I'm glad my first class was cancelled today since NKU isn't opening until 10 a.m. and not having to go to my since I'm leaving with the team, I'm going to get soome much needed sleep before having to do laundry for the trip.

If I don't get back on here before we get on the road, I hope everyone drives safely and there are no accidents. Stay safe folks!!!

Everything is a sheet of ice here tonight! US 27, north of Crowell Avenue, is being shut down. South Fort Thomas Avenue is bad too--especially near Tower Park.

Our dog is digging up and eating the ice on our front walkway. Maybe we could rent her out to the neighbors!
