I actually wonder how many pages have been purged since 2001.

How are the moderators selected? Are they people that Guru knows personally? I see some people on here that have (well) over 20,000 posts, yet aren't moderators. Were they not asked/asked, but declined/ or what?

I joined the same month as my friend Birdsfan. We will be celebrating our 7th anniversary This coming August.

And I barely remember the first.

I became aware of BGP when they came to our grade school , St Therese in Southgate during the Mustang Classic the annual basketball tournament the schools athletic club puts on . Some one from the website (The Guru maybe ) took pictures during the tournament and posted them on the site . I remember a big banner hanging in the gym touting the site and I joined about a year later .

I think Tubby should get some credit too for making BGP as great as it is. Just about half of the posts are about him in one or another.lol

The link bugatti gave is a good one but now we discuss members (we are considering for mod duty) in detail in one of our private forums. In other words, I always ask the mods now. BGP has grown so much I have to delegate.

 

gametime could be a good moderator but he is much more valuable to BGP doing what he does best.

I came to the Mustang Classic one night but I didn't do any of the picture taking.

I originally joined sometime in 2001 under a different name, then was just a reader for a while before coming back as my present name. I think I found this site from another site but I cant remember what I ate for lunch let alone how I found BGP about 7 years ago.

And I barely remember the first.
