February 15, 200818 yr So I was wondering how the whole thing got started. Was it the brainchild of theguru or did other moderators influence the idea? When did it all start? (Do you regret it, guru :fire:) Who were the first members? Who has been here the longest?

February 15, 200818 yr There is at least one audio link in the football forum that answers the questions about the start of BGP. On member problems, we probably deal with somewhere between 10 and 20 members per day on rule violations. As far as suspensions go, I would say rule #2 casts the widest net. Password is retired.

February 15, 200818 yr I'm coming up on seven years. I can tell you one piece of BGP history. Guru came up with this idea (in the summer of 2000) all on his own. He saw that this was something that was sorely needed in Kentucky. He started with just a handful of posters, and the site grew with leaps and bounds to become what it is today. Much of the credit for that success goes to our great BGP family. :thumb:

February 15, 200818 yr I really wish I would have joined several years ago when I first found the site. BUT I'm here now and enjoying every minute of it. It's fun to use the search feature, of the 111 people that joined the site in January 2007, only 5 of us have over 1,000 posts. Only two of us have over 5,000 posts. Maybe I need a hobby. :lol:

At that point it wasn't BluegrassPreps.com. I think it was still called BluegrassPreps, but it was just an EZBoard forum. That was in November 2000. Not long after that, it was launched in full website form.
