As has been said before . . . any team can be beaten on any given night. But statistically speaking, this was an upset. Elliott has beaten teams by a fair margin that have turned around and beaten RH by approximately the same margin. Elliott's shots (2's or 3's) weren't falling and on any other night the ending results could have gone the other way.

That being said . . . congratulations RH . . . Good luck in the finals!!! Hopefully we'll all meet again in regionals!!

This is what high school basketball is about. Two teams leaving it all out on the court. At this time Elliott is still the top team in the 16th, but they can be beat, and now we all know it. I am proud of both teams. Tony Arthur is a special kid. I have been saying for three years he is one of the best defenders in the region. I think it is time to drop the questions about the supporting cast at Rose Hill. They have proven themselves.

Rose Hill is a good team, but the way both teams have been playing makes this outcome pretty shocking. I agree that this will help Elliott in the long run when it gets into the tournament that counts the most.

Rose Hill has been playing pretty well lately and the supporting cast is gaining confidence. I honesty thought they could win but didn't expect it. Elliott can benefit from this loss but they have to get everyone on the same page.

This is a good way to get this thread closed:eek:

Congratulations to Rose Hill. This is a much improved team since they played Bath Co. Elliott is as good as I have heard people say. They just wasn't the best team tonight. Coach Fraley and his staff had the players ready for this game. Good luck to the "Hill" on Friday.

I don't see how my post would get the thread closed. Elliott posters and everyone else were predicting absurd margins of victory.

Tough on attendence at Richmond!

Why is that? Rose Hill had just as good of a crowd there tonight.

Great win for Rose Hill. Way to shake-up the 16th.

Was everybody on Elliott cold or was the percentage just down because of a 2/15 shooting game?

Well lets do the math. If you take away the 2/15, the rest of the team shot 15/45. That comes out to 33% from the field.

WOW--Great win for Rose Hill!! Lots of All "A" brackets are messed up now. Isn't that two years in a row Elliott was supposed to be a major factor in the "A" State and didn't even make it to Richmond??

It was good to see you there tonight. It made the Rose Hill crowd bigger.:D

:laugh::laugh: It will be even bigger Friday night. Spindoc has promised me we will stop at BW3's on the way out Friday night. It was good to get out, and see the Royals. I had a great time. I'll have to make it out more often. :thumb:

Congratulations to Coach Fraley and the Royals for what most consider a HUGE upset, they answered everything Elliot had tonight and were the better

TEAM tonight. Elliot's shots weren't falling and that had a lot to do with their play, but Elliot did not have their usual passion tonight. I understand exactly what the earlier poster said about playing 4 on 5. Elliot will not reach their full potential until they get every one playing with the same intensity that most of them have. Aside from that, it was a great high school basketball game with a lot of ebb and flows that wasn't decided until the final minute.

I'm sure Elliot County will be back with a vengeance, but tonight, its hats off to the Royals, and I think they realize they haven't won anything yet, but

it will be interesting to see how they respond in the finals. If this team has truly "matured" , they could get "scary":scared:

I don't know if they are the best team of all time, but they could at least give last years Russell team a good game :D :argue:

By the way kudos to Bath County on a very well ran tournament. They had the best popcorn I've eaten in a long time, and they give you a big portion of it. :thumb:
