December 15, 200718 yr OK Tubby.... Ummm....I have no clue what you were meaning by that but you can't tell me that you wouldn't have exchanged all those 3's he hit for 2's?
December 15, 200718 yr I know I apologize for that.. Caught me at a weak momment... Dont think anything of it:D GO CATS!!!:thumb:
December 15, 200718 yr He did dribble and pull up a couple times. But the majority of his game comes from off a screen, catch and shoot. The only reason he was able to dribble and shoot was because he was still being left wide open after the smaller Porter had to jump on the shot fake because he is not big enough to simply put his hands up. Yeah it wasn't a drive and pull up. It was a bounce or two as he watched Porter fly by.
December 15, 200718 yr You obviously didn't watch the game. He didn't dribble drive once, every shot he hit was off a catch and shoot. OK 11:53 mark in the 2nd half.. He caught the ball pumped faked and then dribble the ball 3 times and then took a 17.37 foot shot. He made it by the way...
December 15, 200718 yr Take off your blue glasses please. So it was the right call? I've already said it, and I'll say it again. UK shouldn't have put themselves in that position. They let themselves get beat. BUT, that was a HUGE call that was OBVIOUSLY wrong. Just because UK let UAB come back doesn't mean the call is irrelevant.
December 15, 200718 yr We could have always pulled the " John Chaney " method and sent someone to take him out. LOL j/k
December 15, 200718 yr Some of you guys are ridiculous, I would love to hear who you all would have put on Vaden. Crawford? Not only too slow, but not tough enough to run through all the screens. Harris? Vaden would have gone for 10-15 more. Porter wasn't the ideal matchup, but no one would have fared any better. Vaden was going to get his no matter what. Sorry Porter is about a 2 out of 10 on the toughness scale compared to Crawford. Not the ideal matchup??? Porter was possibly the worst matchup of all the possible choices. Almost anyone on the roster would have been a better choice...
December 15, 200718 yr Ummm....I have no clue what you were meaning by that but you can't tell me that you wouldn't have exchanged all those 3's he hit for 2's? Its easy to coach a game after its over. Now you know you would rather give someone a 3 than a layup....

December 15, 200718 yr Porter did a fine job in the 1st half. He held Vaden to 5 points. When a guy gets on a streak like Vaden was in the 2nd half, it doesn't matter who you put on him. He was in a zone. If you put one of the taller guys on him like some of you suggest, then Porter is stuck with a mismatch underneath the basket.
December 15, 200718 yr We could have always pulled the " John Chaney " method and sent someone to take him out. LOL j/k Never thought of that....:thumb:

BUT, that was a HUGE call that was OBVIOUSLY wrong. Just because UK let UAB come back doesn't mean the call is irrelevant. Huge because why? Was Patterson going to hit a game winning 4 to win it. And don't say because it would have been UK ball because he hit of Bradley and he was on the out of bounds line.

December 15, 200718 yr Heart what does heart have anything to do with it. He light him up for 33. Because nobody else would've even been there to put a hand in his face. Porter isn't great, but he plays harder than anyone but Patterson. I think Vaden would've been hitting open shots instead of contested ones if someone else had been guarding him.
December 15, 200718 yr That's one time. One time does not make him a threat off the dribble. OK at the 9;47 mark he caught the ball on a fast break and made a layup... Thats twice...
