I was saying that those three teams would have made the State Semi's with Tilghman' road, for that matter I also think they would have made the State--Semi's with central's road as well.

 

As for Sheldon Clark, I am just calling it as I saw it. It is VERY easy to attack Sheldon Clark for who they didn't beat, but you also must look that their three losses came against Belfry and Bell County (and not three seperate teams). Bell County finished 12-1, Belfry is 14-0 and still playing. Do you think that Tilghman, E-town, or Russelville would have faired any better?

 

I also will agree that there isn't a huge disparity between the two playoff paths, and the real strength's of the paths cannot fully be justified until after Friday. But, the impresison I got of your original statement was the Central did in fact play a tougher post-season schedule.

I will say this, SC might have not played the best schedule in the world, but a healthy SC was a very very very good football team.

Louisville Central will bring a bunch of talent to the table in this battle and they have proven that they can hang with the big boys.

 

Belfry will bring a bunch of skilled players, in their own respect, and have 2 Titles under their belt.

 

The difference here IMO is if Louisville Central can handle the snot bubble hitting Mountian Boys?

Snot bubble hitting, I love the way you put that, but you are right, teams never really see physical teams until they get hit by teams like a Belfry, Johnson Central, Ashalnd, or a Bell County. Some mountain teams know how to lay the wood to ya.

Besides if you play a really good EKY team they'll bang the insides out of you before the game is over win or lose. Its almost like a heavy weight fight. There is no quit in the teams from this side of the state....Call it Pride or whatever the Louisville Central team is about to take a punch right square in the chops this Friday.

Belfry and Russell have been carrying the torch lately here in EKY but there are others East of Winchester that will rise again. Just wait and see.....

They will hit you I have no doubt about that, I have seen both teams on film, and if you look at my post I think this one will be a pretty decent game, but Belfry will outhit Central.

St X was not one of the games I seen, I know it was 14-7 at half, but at what point did the X-Men Runningback go down, I know they scored most of their second half points by air, I'm just curious on that?

I know what you mean...but I promise this bunch from is the most physical team I have ever seen.

 

I said on the post when JC played Belfry, just because JC lines up and runs the belly doesn't mean they do it the same way.

 

Belfry is a very physical team. But this will be a great game. One reason it will be a great game is Belfry has good team speed as well. You won't see overweight linemen. They will be lean, mean and quick as house cats.

I am not downing Highlands in any way because they have a great program but in no way has Highlands dominated Belfry when they have met. The last two meetings consisted of Highlands beating Belfry in overtime in the state semi-finals and Belfry beating Highlands the next year by the score of 35-7.
