The great thing about both of these programs is that on Sunday morning, win or lose, all of the kids are still going to be part of something that is bigger than any of them as individuals. Something that will last through graduation and coaching changes and championships and second guessing and praise and criticism. It really won't matter when ten or fifteen years from now they get together - maybe even with some of their opponents on the other side of the line that they have known as friends and opponents - and remember what it was like in the good ole days.

On the JoeB show today, he heard Robey might announce today sometime....anyone hear anything?

 

I would think that after all of the turmoil at UofL this past year and all of the uncertianty, Robey will choose the UK Wildcats........ and be like his daddy.

As I noted earlier from the verbage in this thread, the older "Trinity family" is sure pessimistic about their younger members' ability to victoriously represent them. They may want to seek a more affirmative foster community. :sssh:

I just checked Saturday's weather. Chance of showers. Is it possible? Will the weatherman conspire once again to join the blind ref and steal the Tiger's rightful place. Will Tornado Mike bring his umbrella to protect his players? Will the Tiger faithful use the money they didn't spend on visitors stands at their new stadium to put a cover over the Pizza Box? Man! After reading these last few pages I am too tired to post. I never have seen a thread jump all over the place like this one-whew! It sounds like Trinity should not even bother showing up. I guess congrats to X for winning already. OOPS! That's right! The game isn't till Saturday. Rocks you can still win. Don't give up now because you are playing against the number 15 team in the country(for this week atleast).

For the record I didn't burn the bridge. It was torched for me by my bandito's of brothers after someone close to me ruined a big party St. X had planned a couple years ago.

Just saw Mr. Draper on 'Has. He hung with the Tigers today at practice. REaffirmed how focused they are and are not to be denied. IMHO he made it evident who he thought the favorite was - and who should win. INterviewed some nice young men who stated-they sure would like one of those rings since no one on their team has one.

Over the last 7 years with coach Beatty at Trinity, even with Brian Brohm the best high school QB in the country, Trinity has not scored more than 24 points. With what everyone in the State as well as on this Board agree on is that this is one of the best Tiger Defenses in years, maybe ever.

 

So the only question about the outcome Saturday is can X score over 24 points against Trinity Defense? Bottom Line, this will decide the 6A State Champion.

 

 

Actually in Beatty's first year(2000) the Rocks put up 27 on St.X with Geoff Riddle under center. :thumb:

So in 10 Games under Beatty, Trinity's high powered offense has averaged 15.5 points per game against X.

 

So I ask again, would all agree that if X can score over 24 points against Trinity, X wins no question.
