Umm, Riverside also misspelled Robey and Weitlauf in the same sentence...but if he was being "clever and sneaky" about Coverdale I'll let him speak for himself.

I was merely commenting on what Rockmom pointed out. :thumb:

I was going to warm up the lawnmower for Saturday's game, but after reading this thread, why waste the gas. It's really sad to see that the supposed Trinity faithful have deserted their formerly beloved Rocks and are waving the white flags of surrender. Your lack of faith and belief in them has me amazed...how sad! :eek:

What more, so-called Rock supporters, can these young men and this team be and do to earn your confidence?

Offensively, this team returned most of their OL led by All-Stars, Robey and Kupper, off of a previous championship team. QB Will Stein has shattered the seasonal touchdown record of the great Brian Brohm. WR Nathan Dutton has demolished the pass receiving records of Billy Murray, and his brother, Alex Dutton, is not far behind. RB Tim Phillips has devasted opposing defenses for 1,696 rushing yards so far, which eclipses any previous Rock runner. Overall this team has averaged a massive 47 points per game in 14 outings, another school record.

Defensively, in preseason, many were calling this Rock team prehaps the best in school history. On the DL, Robey is a returning two-time All-Stater, while many believe that Kupper is as good or better. At LB, massive junior Jordan Whiting has already been awarded a scholarship to Ohio State, and senior Wes Weitlauf is averaging double figures in tackles.

This Saturday night this collection of supermen will play for all the 6A marbles against St. X. Unlike Trinity, the identity of most of the Tiger players is unknown to most. If you asked people on this forum to name some St. X. players, probably the only one they would mention is Deuce Finch, and their knowledge of him is solely that he lives in Southern Indiana and has suffered an injury.

Unlike the non-believing Trinity supporters who are gagging on humble pie, this Tiger fan fully believes in his team of no-names and their destiny as state champions.................GO TIGERS!! :ylsuper:

X=12 & T=17 12/08/07

X =12 plus 7 (back healthy finally!) = 19

19 > 17 by Deuce!!!

but 4 (Stein) + 13( Dutton) +2 ( Dutton) = 19

In theory, 19 is congruent to 19.

19 is a prime number. It cannot be divided by 2. One must prevail.

Go Tigers!!

No names? I thought you would have been proud enough to list them all. tsk tsk Ox. :sssh:

I know I can list them, and most in the LOYAL and BELIEVING St. X. community can also. Their collective names are WINNERS and TEAM....TICK-TOCK, TICK-TOCK...the time this week is TIGERS O'CLOCK! :D

Loyal and Believing need a Big "W" Saturday or there will be Fire and Brimstone at Xtravaganza this year. Runner up T-shirts don't make good Christmas gifts either based on 2005 sales. X MUST win this game... otherwise how will I ever explain to my grandkids that grandaddy's school is just as good as their dad's school!

If you want to call out that official then how about the one that DIDN'T flag Anderson for grabbing the ball after the measurement as he should have been. WOuld have been a whole lot less nerve wracking on us had the ball been spotted on the 17 rather then the 2.

Hey, just a friendly little jab I said. :cool: Only a few folks know whether he did or not anyway, those in the pile. It was a heckuva tackle either way. Good luck Saturday. I like your position better as the underdog, just like last time. Hopefully for me the game plays like chalk this year.

I gotta disagree with you. As they say, actions speak louder than words and all of the T faithful have lined up by party line on the BGP Poll. Seems as though the T faithful would make excellent politicians. Saying one thing and doing another. I think the Tigers are pulling the majority of the independent vote and exit polls have us leading in early returns. However, a number of the precincts haven't reported and the final count will be Saturday night.

On the JoeB show today, he heard Robey might announce today sometime....anyone hear anything?

Jimmyref, players are far more likely to read the words uttered in a thread rather than a list of names in a poll. I almost felt sorry for the Trinity players having to read from their supposed fans (and even parents) about how they shouldn't even show up for this game, but then I remembered what school they represented and all compassion vanished...TICK-TOCK,TICK-TOCK...Is it game time yet? :flame::jump:

I wouldn't worry too much about explanations, you've already burned that X bridge and should be in line for an honorary diploma from St. Matthews. :lol:

Don't feel sorry for the Trinity players Oxnard. On Sunday morning, win or lose, they will still be part of the Trinity family. They wouldn't trade places with ANYONE.

Some people are born to the light, others come later in life. We accept all when they reach salvation. Welcome to the Trinity family, XGRD.

I just checked Saturday's weather. Chance of showers. Is it possible? Will the weatherman conspire once again to join the blind ref and steal the Tiger's rightful place. Will Tornado Mike bring his umbrella to protect his players? Will the Tiger faithful use the money they didn't spend on visitors stands at their new stadium to put a cover over the Pizza Box? America waits.

As I noted earlier from the verbage in this thread, the older "Trinity family" is sure pessimistic about their younger members' ability to victoriously represent them. They may want to seek a more affirmative foster community. :sssh:
