They also had UAB in that stretch and probably only had to play WVU starters for 3 qtrs.:thumb:

Look Kentucky mades a ton of mistakes that if they had not happened UK had a shot to win the game. But I think that it also hurt not having Kenaan Burton, Micah Johnson, Rafael Little, Marcus McClinton (for a half), and Paul Warford. Watching coverage of the game the announcers mentioned how beat up UK was and listed the players who were out like twice. Also, your not going to beat too many teams making the mistakes we made.

There's no doubt that having Burton and Little out hurt UK, but UK was beat on the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. UK would have lost even with Burton and Little.

First I like Kentucky a lot but this loss should tell some of you that they are not up there with Ohio State, yet. I would love to see Kentucky rule the SEC even after some of you have let one good season go to your heads.

I will continue to root for the Cats but will never not be able to see things for what they are at the present time.

Any more excuses you want to rattle off???

Here is the thing. The game wasn't even close in the end. We played awful. The false starts, sacks given up, fumbles, etc was not good football. And that stuff keeps you from winning games anyways. Combine that with the players we had out that is disasterous. I do think if we are healthy we are a better team than Miss St, but thats football. Its like us beating LSU. We aren't as good as LSU is, but we beat them. College football is crazy like that in case you haven't noticed.

Wow...just got back from a XC race...and saw the score....What happened to the Cats?

They were dominated by Mississippi State.

No excuses gang...they laid an absolute egg.

Sure they have some injuries, but they played too poorly for that to even be a concern.

3 picks, 3 fumbles and most were on their side of the field.

State coming off some two tough road games...took it to UK.

The first half was alarming...State ran 31 plays in two drives. UK missed a short FG...down at half.

FUmble KO, fumble punt...penalties...mental and physical errors.

Tremendously disappointed...what was shaping up as a potentially special year has blown a tire.

Eastern title chances gone...Heisman chances gone...New Years Day Bowl greatly harmed...I would take Chick Fil A, because it has become a very good bowl game, practicaly worthy of a New Years Day Bowl.

Vandy will be tough..as will UGA...and they close with Tennessee.

THe only thing that will cleanse the palate of this loss will be to win out or at least beat Vandy and end the streak to Tennessee.

My thoughts exactly. I'm not even going to get on here and try to surmount an argument as to why they lost today. They came out flat and they flat out blew it in today's game. Mississippi State handed it to them all game long.

What injury caused Woodson to throw 3 int’s?

What injury caused UK’s defense to let MSU go 4-4 in the red zone?

What injury caused UK’s OL give up three sacks while UK’s DL got 0 sacks?

What injury caused MSU to fumble 5 times yet UK only recovered 1? (UK fumbled 4 times lost 3)…

If you ask me MSU just out hustled and out played UK. To me it was very clear who wanted it more…

There is no excuse for not showing up to play. Our Cats got what they deserved today. Also no excuse for running out of hot choc. today either. It was a lose-lose situation all day at the game.

Very flat and the injuries don't help. After two emotional games against LSU and Florida you could kind of see a let down comming. That was ugly.

What day was that? Kentucky has had bye weeks dating all the way back to 1929.

1928? Sorry I stand corrected. It is however a lame excuse to say they needed the bye week here. And say thats why they lost.
