Man...Talk about excuses in this one....

Joker was using a Vanilla Offense so he wouldn't show UGA and UT too much...

...I know it's unoriginal (where was it I heard that one before), but it's all I got. ;)

There is an excuse for this one... looks down from this view.

I'm pretty sure this play was reviewed too. How in the world do you miss that?

UK got dominated up front, especially on the O-line...that was the ballgame. No doubt not having Burton on the field makes us a worse team, but I wasn't aware that he made our line block better. UK's O-line has been very good all season, and there was no excuse for them to play the way they did. That was the difference in the game...State won the battle at the line. I thought UK's defense finally showed up, but the offense never did. The line was moving back if it moved at all and the rest of the guys just didn't look like they were in the game...

It was just a nice recipe for a letdown...three straight big games, a beat up team, homecoming, against a team that everyone thought they should beat...that's not an excuse, just a fact. We see it all the time in college football when teams have letdowns after tough games or tough stretches. I think the advantage MSU had in that regard was that despite playing a tough stretch themselves, UK was a top 15 team, so that provided some extra motivation to beat a highly ranked team as opposed to UK's view of playing a team that everyone thought you should beat.

That doesn't make it excusable, because you'd think if any team would know they have to bring it every week it would be UK. Unfortunately, we see it time and again every season in college football. It's just so hard to bring your A-game every week and it's almost impossible to win when you don't if you're playing tough competition. UK has played two bad games this year and they've lost by 15 and 17 respectively. Hopefully, they can rest up during the bye week and bring their best 3 more times.

The replays they played on television never showed anything that conclusive...it looked close, but the rule says "indisputable" and what they showed during the game didn't fit that description.

That picture, however, shows it clearly. Too bad they didn't have still shots in the replay booth...we might have only lost by 10 instead of 17...

Kentucky got outplayed, plain and simple. Mississippi St. looked like the hungrier team. No need to analyze this one. Get healthy, 2 weeks of work, and go to Nashivlle and get after the Commodores.

Anytime you use a vanilla offense (;)), you had better win the game

There's no telling if that was a picture from that play.....we can not be sure of that.

The replays shown on TV were always from behind Tamme........I guess they did not have this angle.

True, true...you also probably need to use it before the ninth game...

That picture looks clear, but I'm with you...the replays they showed on TV offered no concrete evidence to overturn that call. And besides that, it wouldn't have mattered anyway...it's not like the game turned on that play...MSU dominated the game from the kickoff. That was just another play.

It is from that play according to the photo on the UKathletics.com photo gallery. The heading to the picture was "Jacob Tamme gets tackled before he fumbles." Picture 37 in the photo gallery from the MSU game.
