October 26, 200718 yr If you're blaming UK's loss to USC on their defense, you're 100% crazy.... Well they did catch the INT and cause the fumble to score the TD's so I guess we are CRAZY and BLIND.
October 26, 200718 yr If you're blaming UK's loss to USC on their defense, you're 100% crazy.... Really I don't know why you would resort to personal attacks, but that is obviously not what I said. I will just take the high road here. All I said was that Boston College's defense was able to hold their opponent down much better than UK's defense was able to hold South Carolina down (and UK actually played well on defense for a good part of that game, but not the whole game).
October 26, 200718 yr I agree, I would be shocked if there isn't a book on the favortism ESPN shows towards the East Coast. Can't find a book over it but type it in on google & some interesting things come up.
October 26, 200718 yr Well they did catch the INT and cause the fumble to score the TD's so I guess we are CRAZY and BLIND. You're beloved QB GAVE USC two touchdowns....Are those points the defenses fault too?

October 26, 200718 yr UConn is 2-0 in the Big East and haven't even played the best four teams in the conference. I guess I should typed basketball in there. My fingers got ahead my brain because I sure didn't mean Uconn football. I can't remember them as the lead on SportsCenter. Boston is having a good run with the Patriots and Red Sox. But why does Joe Torre's leaving the Yankees -- decision made eight hours earlier -- lead SportsCenter last Thursday? The #2 team in college football had gotten beat and Cleveland was leading the ACLS at the time. That story was known for days and eight hours old. Why does Boston College get more time on SportsCenter than Ohio State? Oregon? Why do most of their exclusive, primetime Thursday games involve schools from the east? Watch SportsCenter and keep track of the first ten stories. Count how many come from east of the Mississippi River and how many are from the west. Joe Girardi is rumored for the Dodger job. Was that story on before the Yankee story? Doubt it. You talk about ESPN's columnists being based "All over the country". Peter Gammons - Boston. Buster Olney covered the Yankees for years. Jayson Stark covered the Phillies for years. Stephen A. Smith worked in Philly. Steve Phillips was the Mets GM. Ron Jaworski and John Clayton are from Pennsylvania. Hank Goldberg, Sal Palantonio, Jeremy Schaap -- all from the east coast. Don't proceed to tell me what I was thinking when I made a post. Anyone who watches college basketball knows of ESPN's love affair with UConn, Duke, and Syracuse. Next time, I'll type slower. For several reasons. With that, we will agree to disagree on the east coast bias debate. I respect your opinion and know how I stand. Tim Tebow will win the Heisman. Next. I'm guessing because he had led the most storied franchise in SPORTS HISTORY to 4 World Series Titles and wasn't being invited back. As for the second bolded part--and I'm just spitballing here. But since the Thursday games begin at 8pm Eastern Time isn't it a little bit unrealistic to expect West Coast teams to begin play at 5pm local time on a Thursday? I think that might have something to do with it. As for the columnists, yeah you picked the East Coast guys. Do you want to give fair time to each and list the Midwestern Guys and the West Coast guys or are you ignoring them?
October 26, 200718 yr          I really do not know whats funny about calling me 100% crazy. That is something said on different message boards besides this one. It would probably help to read the rules. Feel free to PM me and call me what you want. In the mean time lets stay on topic. I think Woodson and Matt Ryan are basically what the thread is about.
October 26, 200718 yr You're beloved QB GAVE USC two touchdowns....Are those points the defenses fault too? I suppose the O-Line had nothing to do with that fumble.

October 26, 200718 yr Author I suppose the O-Line had nothing to do with that fumble. Ryan's O Line was demolished tonight. I guess I missed the 14 free points given to VT...

There are plenty of Big 10, Big 12, C-USA, SEC, MAC, and even Mountain West teams in the central and mountain time zone. Not even talking West Coast. The columists were off the top of my head. Mortensen is from Atlanta. Bob Holtzman and Ed Werder from the midwest and Shelley Smith from out west. More east than west.
October 26, 200718 yr I think Woodson and Matt Ryan are basically what the thread is about. You're right (no personal attack intended)...:thumb: Ryan is ahead of Woodson in the Heisman race, and rightfully so.
October 26, 200718 yr I suppose the O-Line had nothing to do with that fumble. You mean the one he threw backwards after already being wrapped up...Im pretty sure it was his decision to throw the ball...
October 26, 200718 yr I'd like to get those names. You see what you have to do is go to this website. Its espn.go.com. Then you pick out a sport out of the tabs on the front page. Then you look about halfway down the page and you'll see a list of columnist for that sport. From there you can look up a bio on each...........
