October 26, 200718 yr To be fair thought that's just Speilman's opinion. Not a consensus or quorum of their writers. He loses point for Colt Brennan being in the top 5. Scroll down....It has the panel of experts list.
October 26, 200718 yr Author Ryan's comeback showed he is a big time quarterback and may have won him the votes of Bob Ryan and Todd Blackledge. But I don't think it's enough to pass Tebow and Woodson at this point. After the Florida loss, I saw very little that had Woodson over Ryan. After that win on "College Football Night In America" Ryan is #2. It's the single reason we saw the reaction we did to Ryan's unreal finish to this game....
October 26, 200718 yr My Take: Did Ryan help his Heisman chances? Slightly. He's still third behind Tebow and Woodson. McFadden is fourth and Brohm is fifth. The Heisman is Tebow's to lose. Unless he contracts a MRSA strand, he'll take home the Berwanger trophy in New York. I think Woodson is ahead of Ryan because he has been getting more national exposure in recent weeks. The two performances on CBS will resonate nationwide. One factor going against Ryan is the lack of media attention coming from the Northeast and especially in BC's backyard. The Patriots are unbeaten. The Red Sox are in the World Series. The Celtics traded for Garnett and Allen. They are the #2 ranked team in college football and the #4 story in their hometown. Nationally syndicated columnists are spending their time on Brady's run for the TD record and the run of the Sawx. Very good analysis Scribe. Tebow, Woodson, and Hart are the Heisman finalists and that's the bottom line.
October 26, 200718 yr Tebow, Woodson, and Hart are the Heisman finalists and that's the bottom line. Have YOU taken a secret tally, or did your banker tell you that?
October 26, 200718 yr And neither is Woodson. :thumb: If Woodson leads UK to 9-3 or 10-2, he will win the Heisman.

October 26, 200718 yr If Woodson leads UK to 9-3 or 10-2, he will win the Heisman. Not if Tebow wins out.....
October 26, 200718 yr Have YOU taken a secret tally, or did your banker tell you that? You're not going to phase Wireman big guy. I have my opinion and you have yours. As much as you'd like for me to come back at you, its not happening. We'll watch the season play out and then we'll see what happens. And FYI - I ate crow over the banker lie months ago. I have already flushed that crow down the toilet.
October 26, 200718 yr I find it interesting that Woodson is removed from consideration because of two losses, but Tebow and Hart always get brought up and they have two losses as well. I know this has been about Ryan and Woodson, but thought I had to throw that out there. At this point, maybe Ryan does lead the Heisman with leading his team to victory and being undefeated. I do have to say however, that a game like this would not make Andre' a legend. In spite of the weather and everything, for this UK team to not score a point until the final 4 minutes would be a lightning rod for criticism. We all know how UK fans are in that we criticize things many wouldnt think of. That would be one of the first things said is that it should never have been that close. We would proud that he led the team to the win, but I think we are jumping to conclusions in saying we would call him a legend.
October 26, 200718 yr Has there ever been a non-Notre Dame quarterback that the media has had a bigger man-crush on since day one than Tim Tebow? I can't think of one either. That's what makes him the solid choice for the Heisman. Everyone else will be wearing pimpy suits for the cameras when they call Tebow's name.

I still think there is a good chance that Tebow will be injured this season. He is a big, strong QB, but he can only take so many hits. UK almost sent him to the sidelines.
October 26, 200718 yr Tebow isn't going to win out. So You've got that elusive crystal ball. Could you PLEASE give me the Powerball numbers for Saturday, I'd love to retire early...... If Woodson doesn't win out he has no chance either.......Is that going to happen---tell us right now.....
