Woodson Would Be A Legend After A Performance Like That

Featured Replies

And it's Brohm's fault that his defense has played like crap all year?!  Keep it comin' man, really.

I understand what you're saying and honestly I cheer for U of L in every game but one - but Syracuse? Come on now.

If they can use Brohm's record against him in the Heisman race, then I can use that same logic in saying that Ryan has a better shot to win the trophy than Woodson does...It's as simple as that.

You're correct. However, if UK WERE to end up 10-2 I think Woodson's numbers might come into play vs. Ryan even if BC went undefeated. It would be interesting to say the least. I still think Darren McFadden, Brohm or Mike Hart is the best player in college football and one of the 3 should win.

I never said Brohm didn't deserve a shot at it, he puts up great numbers, has a terribel D. But lets be realistic, his schedule allows his numbers to be great as well, but he still has to make the plays and he does, credit to him. But with 4 losses it would be almost impossible for him to be in consideration amongst the others.

The thread was comparing Ryan and Woodson, Ryan didn't play like the best player in the nation tonight to me, you have to play more than 4 minutes to steal my attention. A catch on the onside kick and this story would be mute and that was out of Ryans hands.

To me it looked like you were discrediting Woodson for having 2 losses and praising Brohm yet he has 4. Go figure. Any BLIND man could see that UK is a legit team that could beat almost anyone, behind that one man leading them....Woodson.

You're exactly right...The thread is comparing Ryan to Woodson. I know that Brohm has little to no shot at the award simply because of the way the voting works, and Im fine with that. I bring up his stats in every Heisman thread to show how, IMO, the voting system is skewed. If UK fans want to discredit Brohm's chances using his record as their arguement, I can do the same saying Ryan will win it before Woodson does. I was not praising Brohm over Woodson, Im merely pointing out the fact that there are some on here not seeing the double standard that is so obviously being used to hype Andre'...

What I find funny is Woodson has 3 come from behind wins this year, but when Matt Ryan does it once the UK haters act like its huge.

I'm afraid that McFadden and Brohm are both eliminated - even if they are the best players. That sucks, but its how it works every season. If Florida wins out, Tebow wins. If Michigan wins out, Hart wins. If UK wins out, Woodson wins. If BC wins out, Ryan wins. If they all lose? I don't know who wins...

The point Im trying to get across is that UK fans CAN NOT use Brohm's record against him if someone else can't use Andre's against him when comparing him to Ryan. I don't care who Woodson has played/beaten.

Just because I can...Because obviously you can't have a decent conversation, I'll keep it comin' with one liners like this.

In this day of the internet, if you truly are a college football fan, that's no excuse.

As the thread title says, Woodson would be a legend if he had played this game...."Woodson moves one step closer to locking up the Heisman!"...I can see the thread now.

"Andre really overcame adversity tonight!"

"He deserves the Heisman for that performance!!"

"His 4th quarter magic locks it up!!!"

And so on...

 :jump:

The thing is Woodson has not played as bad all year as Ryan played for 3 quarters. I would not be on here talking about how great Woodson was if he played like Ryan did tonight. I would say what I say about Ryan. Played below average for most of the game, but persevered and made some huge plays to get the win.

How quickly they forget the USC game...:sssh:
