October 26, 200718 yr So You've got that elusive crystal ball. Could you PLEASE give me the Powerball numbers for Saturday, I'd love to retire early...... If Woodson doesn't win out he has no chance either.......Is that going to happen---tell us right now..... Woodson isn't going to win out either and FYI -:sleep::sleep:
October 26, 200718 yr Which guy is that? ... All the time and I'll have to say that the majority of the "professionals" on ESPN are idiots. There's nothing to worry about, BC will lose and Ryan will suddenly be a loser QB in ESPN's eyes. Stir the pot as much as you'd like, but I'm not budging. Ryan isn't going to win the Heisman and there's not really any way to argue that. Tebow, Woodson, and Hart are the Heisman finalists and that's the bottom line. If Woodson leads UK to 9-3 or 10-2, he will win the Heisman. Tebow isn't going to win out. Those are all pretty definite answers....
October 26, 200718 yr Or does this make you feel better? http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/heisman07/index You mean to tell me that ESPN is backing a quarterback from Boston College? What's next? Daily stories on the Patriots on SportsCenter? Leading SportsCenter with the Red Sox or Yankees 18 times in the past 25 days? Showing UConn more than any other Big East team? Can I see the link to what people from the Sunshine Network think? FOX Florida? Host Communications? The Lexington Herald-Leader? When there is a Northeast factor that figures into any arguement, whether it be a team or player, ESPN loses objectivity and shifts into good old fashioned homerism. That poll tells me nothing. Had it appeared in the Dallas Morning News or the Chicago Tribune or maybe even Fox Sports, then I would take notice. Until then, it's just a way some of the ESPN employees can pump up the local boy in the national press.

October 26, 200718 yr I find it interesting that Woodson is removed from consideration because of two losses, but Tebow and Hart always get brought up and they have two losses as well. I know this has been about Ryan and Woodson, but thought I had to throw that out there. I agree, I was about to PUKE when the announcers kept saying the loser of this game will almost be disqualified from the Heisman watch list. I was thinking why, Tebow would have 2 losses and Woodson with 2 losses? Media is so biased with Tebow.
October 26, 200718 yr He asked how I figured that Ryan was the leader....I showed him. Seems simple, I thought...

Until then, it's just a way some of the ESPN employees can pump up the local boy in the national press. Boston College is undefeated and ranked 2nd in the country. The Patriots are undefeated and beating teams by record margins. The Red Sox had the best record in baseball and are 2 wins away from the World Series Championship after coming back from a 3-1 deficit. The Yankees are the most loved--and most hated big league team and they are relieving a 4 time World Series winner in Torre. UConn is in first place in the Big East and could be going to a BCS game and they've been a D-1 school for less than 10 years. Which one of these isn't a big story? Should they be covering Hockey more or something?

October 26, 200718 yr Author It is nice to see you guys follow your first Heisman since Couch. This stuff goes on every year, but now that a UK player is in consideration, it's a travesty...
October 26, 200718 yr The only way Tebow loses the Heisman is an injury. He could lay an egg in 2-3 weeks and still be fine. The media voters love him THAT much. Should Tebow get hurt, the only way Ryan passes Woodson is for BC to not lose and Ryan put up good numbers. Maybe even another late comeback. Woodson would have to lay an egg against Vandy or Tennessee. The X-factor is Dennis Dixon of Oregon. As long as the Ducks keep winning, Dixon emerges as the best Heisman candidate west of the Mississippi River. While Tebow, Woodson, and Ryan are splitting the vote in the east.....

October 26, 200718 yr UConn plays football? I meant the basketball Huskies. I've not seen a single thing on Uconn basketball this season........If you want to look into last season I'm sure there's lots of things you can dig up........I don't for a second think you were talking about basketball. A lot of ESPN's columnists are based all over the country and rarely, if ever set foot in Bristol. There is no East Coast bias.
