October 26, 200718 yr I think this kind of argument is mute for one simple reason! When was the last time UK held a top 10 team under 2 TD's? Ryan's defense makes him look a lot better. If KY holds Florida under 2 TD's last week then Woodson is the king etc. Easier schedule, better defense etc helps Ryan big time. If "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts....
October 26, 200718 yr His point was had Woodson had a game like this, nobody would be focused on his bad play for three quarters, they'd be tooting his horn and saying how he locked up the Heisman. He also probably knew how UK fans would be bashing Ryan.... Most fans would be reasonable enough to say he did not play well, but did a great job finding a way to lead the team to victory, just like Ryan did tonight. Its also a mute point, because Woodson will never play that bad for 3 qtrs.

He also probably knew how UK fans would be bashing Ryan.... As I said earlier, I think you would be surprised. Many would definitely be saying it was a great comeback and such. However, with the UK offense, it would definitely be pointed out that there is no excuse to not have points on the board through the first 55 minutes of a football game.
October 26, 200718 yr If that makes you feel better, run with it... Classic post as to why some don't value your posts/opinion. There was no reason to even comment on that other than just taking a shot at hima nd trying to stir the pot more by getting a rise out of US.
October 26, 200718 yr Stange coincidence that you only decided it was basketball when you were called on it. You just said that the Big East coverage was focused on Uconn, who just to be clear, is leading and undefeated in the Big East. As for the rest, you failed to answer why they shouldn't be lead stories......Still waiting...........Your argument...........Didn't think so...... UConn is 2-0 in the Big East and haven't even played the best four teams in the conference. I guess I should typed basketball in there. My fingers got ahead my brain because I sure didn't mean Uconn football. I can't remember them as the lead on SportsCenter. Boston is having a good run with the Patriots and Red Sox. But why does Joe Torre's leaving the Yankees -- decision made eight hours earlier -- lead SportsCenter at 11pm last Thursday? The #2 team in college football had gotten beat and Cleveland was leading the ACLS at the time. That story was known for days and eight hours old. Why does Boston College get more time on SportsCenter than Ohio State? Oregon? Why do most of their exclusive, primetime Thursday games involve schools from the east? Watch SportsCenter and keep track of the first ten stories. Count how many come from east of the Mississippi River and how many are from the west. Joe Girardi is rumored for the Dodger job. Was that story on before the Yankee story? Doubt it. You talk about ESPN's columnists being based "All over the country". Peter Gammons - Boston. Buster Olney covered the Yankees for years. Jayson Stark covered the Phillies for years. Stephen A. Smith worked in Philly. Steve Phillips was the Mets GM. Ron Jaworski and John Clayton are from Pennsylvania. Hank Goldberg, Sal Palantonio, Jeremy Schaap -- all from the east coast. Don't proceed to tell me what I was thinking when I made a post. Anyone who watches college basketball knows of ESPN's love affair with UConn, Duke, and Syracuse. Next time, I'll type slower. For several reasons. With that, we will agree to disagree on the east coast bias debate. I respect your opinion and know how I stand. Tim Tebow will win the Heisman. Next.

October 26, 200718 yr You're right, he played bad for 4 against USC. He led his team to scoring 23 points in that game that he played so bad. Ryan led his team to only 14.

There was no reason to even comment on that other than just taking a shot at hima nd trying to stir the pot more by getting a rise out of US. I forgot this was a UK board. Wait... I could care less how much I'm "valued" to the targets of these threads... NEXT...

Really? Just because I can...Because obviously you can't have a decent conversation, I'll keep it comin' with one liners like this. UK 40 UofL 34
October 26, 200718 yr And won... I thought you said earlier in this thread that a QB can't help what his defense does.:sssh:
